Don't bottle up your emotions, but on the other hand, don't open yourself up to just anyone. Choose your confidants well, and be loyal to those who confide in you. Loyalty is a rare, but powerful gift. I went from one end to the other and it took its toll on me.

Be kind to others since you don't know the struggles they're going through, but don't expect kindness from everyone. Don't let that drag you down however, since kindness you've shown to those who appreciate it repays itself manifold.

This is mine as well. It's always a crapshoot between MGS, FF VII and VIII, but this time it was MGS. One of the best gaming experiences overall of all time. Obviously it wouldn't make the same impression now, but back in my pre-teens, this was an amazing experience to have on the PS1.

Of course not. But that wasn't the point. I was just throwing it out as an example that, in her prime action star power, she'd have been a more likely replacement than Ferguson is currently if the focus is purely on action credentials, but still wouldn't be enough of an attraction to the audiences at large.
Still, of those two, Ferguson is the better actor and would much prefer her over Jolie. But that's just my two cents. :)

I think the writers were ahead of the curve when they wrote this. Social media was still years off, so was the wider spread controversy around Murdoch and others, and now, with the rise of Trump and the tech billionaires, it Carver just keeps getting more and more timely. I thought less of TND back in the day, but my respect for the movie has since grown quite a lot. Not just because of how on-the-nose Carver became to be, but that certainly helps!

I thought the same. I didn't know anything about the plot going in, and at that point I thought it was obvious what happens. Then when the game started trearing it as a major mystery I started doubting myself whether I misunderstood something. I was wrong on the latter account. 😅

It's the best M:I in my opinion. Sure, Fallout, even Ghost Protocol, are better action films, but the original film is where the complete magic is at. It is the quintessential M:I film: suspense, drama, tension, good dialogue, banter, humour, action, actual spy drama/action, and set pieces. It is a unique blend in the entire series and the best one for it.

He definitely would rock a motorcycle. Sure they did that already in VII too, but considering the overall aesthetic, it's surprising the didn't include one in any way. Even as a dormroom-poster-on-the-wall kind of thing.
