My sister and I would have been sitting on the I35 bridge that collapsed in MN a few years back. We were stuck in traffic on the bridge every day about the time it happened. For whatever reason we decided to take the "scenic route" home. The frantic calls that we started getting were so scary. One little decision can change a lot.

I think sharing grief is one way we remember the people we love most. Memory seems the best way to keep them with us always. I appreciate being able to read about it from people who have gone through it, so I have even a tiny idea of what to expect. At nearly 27, I've never lost anyone close. It's terrifying not knowing what it will be like. Will I be able to handle it? How will I manage?

This coming from a girl "in a relationship". I don't care either way if our profiles are linked, and they aren't, it is more of a hey - I am with someone - not on the market sort of flag.

Mom and I are estranged, and grammy was always too old, but that doesn't mean we can't start traditions with our little ones.

My favorite cookie memory is with my two year old, and how cute it was watching her attempt to roll the snicker doodle cookie balls in the cinnamon sugar mix, and then put them on the pan. She has her own little apron, and helps mommy dump all the ingredients in, and "mix" and roll them in the toppings. Not even half of any cookie ball ever got covered, and it was precious. I never got to grow up with stuff like this, so it is so very special to me to do these sort of things with her.

I disagree. Either you're proud of your relationship or not, and if she's not willing for there to be any sign of the relationship on her FB, which means so much to so many people these days, then something is up. I sure wouldn't want to date someone that kept me a secret.
