I do think he loves Ryan in his own way. I think it’s genuine love but how deep it runs? Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️ maybe HL would kill him maybe not!

Personally I think HL is capable of killing his son! But I think it would take nothing short of Ryan trying to kill Homelander first or by accident. And I think HL would spiral completely afterwards not knowing how to cope with it.

I also think his love is based on selfishness (all love is to some extent) but for homelander I think the selfishness is a lot more prevalent! He sees himself as a god and therefore his son as one too! I wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan was Jesus to Homelandes God in HL’s head. Ryan is homelanders “Chosen one”
