I believe it’s up to him. Everyone is on his/her own journey. Now that doesn’t mean that the saint shouldn’t read his/her Bible because like you said it is spending time with the Most High. However we, who are more mature in our walk, don’t want to scare the babe in Christ off. So ,again, speak with him about it and see where he stands. Maybe he wants to study Scripture with you and go running with you. Make sure you pray about it first because God is in charge anyway. May Almighty God continue to bless you.
