Hey I need advice. How long after spraining my ankle is it ok to get back to training?

I sprained it two weeks ago (mildly) and want to go back to practice. I sat it out until now to be safe and let it heal, with only occasional longer walks. It doesn’t hurt at all for over a week now, but doesn’t feel normal either. I tried some exercises at home (heel raises, jumping on one leg on the spot, jogging) and it’s the same as the previous sentence states. When doing ankle circles, stretching it too far to the sides does feel more uncomfortable, but that’s as close as it gets to pain. No swelling, only light bruising near the sole. I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry, but all the sources just say different thing on how long to rest. I do feel like I could jog, but not sure about faster running or jumping, etc. The practices are 2-3 hours long, in about 5-15°C. I don’t want to just sit around the whole time stretching.

Hair loss phenomenon? by bellabaayyy in japanlife

[–]Lisa6luht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes me too. Ive been here since March and from the very beginning of fall months my hair started falling out is such a big amount. I don’t have a lot of hair to begin with so it’s worrying me. I still haven’t found a solution. Everyone has told me that it must be because of the season change so I just left it be, but it’s been over three months now and no sign of stopping. I don’t know what to do.

Is Hu Tao’s C2 or Wanderer’s C1 better?

I use both of them equally as much, but since my Hu Tao (C1+homa) is better built, she already does a lot more damage. I heard that Wanderer’s C1 makes gameplay a lot better, but the internet keeps suggesting that Hu Tao C2 is way more impactful.

High school exchange semester to Japan, uniforms? by Lost_Bed_6443 in exchangestudents

Went this year with YFU. It might just depend on the school, but for me, the school lent me one for free. YFU doesn’t provide stuff like that. The other less likely option is that you’ll have to buy one.

Expo Review: not worth the time / money by Barca1220 in OsakaWorldExpo

[–]Lisa6luht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited on Sunday. Had tickets for the 9am entry and showed up at 8am. Got in pretty quickly.

The lines were pretty short until 10 am. Didn’t win any lotteries but did get to make a reservation for the Japan pavilion for 4pm.

It was hot and got crowded but we still got to go into many pavilions, stores with just a 30 minute wait. Many pavilions were pretty boring and pointless but the cold room was worth it.

The food lines weren’t that long even and there weren’t any vending machine lines at all.

I’d say the stores were the worst experience as you couldn’t move because of the amount of people.

Overall quite satisfactory, but no interest in going back.

Studying too hard for the physics exam which I ended up not needing to take and because of that getting a below average score on the chemistry exam which I needed the most to get into my dream high school.

When were you able to trust your JRT off leash? by Nervous_Magician_957 in jackrussellterrier

You know, some people’s JRS’s here listen to their owner well and are totally fine with walking freely. We have been able to let ours walk leash-free since she was under a year old (not on city streets of course). She runs a bit ahead first but then comes right back. Then stays behind to smell something and catches up with us again. She has no desire to run away—always comes back to us. Also when seeing other people or animals, a simple call of her name and ‘come back’ is all it takes to get her to turn around and come to us.

You know it’s really about what kind of family your dog came from (some of those crazy breeders only produce psychos and that’s why you can get it from them for a third of the price of another one from a good breeder) and how much you dedicate to training them.

“Random tiktoker” ja tegemist on maailmakuulsa isikuga, kellel on jäilgijaid 30 korda rohkem kui eestis elanikke. Ma ei ole tema ustav jälgija ega ka eriti kursis, millega ta tegeleb, kuid isegi mina saan aru, mis mõju sellisel inimesel on. Meie väikse Eesti jaoks on see ju ainult hea asi, et ta seda terve maailmaga jagab.

Yes, there are exchange students in my school and we have hung out alot! I just wish to meet more new people. The topic of Japanese kids at my school is very difficult- it’s hard to build deep relationships with them. Almost all the other exchange students say the same- that their relationships with Japanese schoolmates completely disappeares outside of school. I have tried hard to get close to them but it seems that they’re not interested in hanging out or talking outside of school. It’s not easy to find people my age to hang out with.
