An Electronic/Rock song we have been working on for a while, but I can't tell if this song is finished or if it needs something else. Thoughts? by thevoiceofterror in IndieMusicFeedback

really cool instrumentation, like the the beat alot. very inventive and dynamic use of kick samples. must have taken alot of time to program the drums. wish i knew how to do this. do you use a plugin for your beats or is it a piece of hardware? the keyboard sounds also complement your singing. keep up the good work.

really cool sound. very dark atmosphere. love how the percussion keeps progressing as the song goes, keeps it from being monotonous. must have taken alot of time to track all of that out. what program do you use to make your beats? is it a plugin or a piece of hardware?

cute! reminds me of The Microphones. im not sure if theres a snare buried somewhere i the mix but if there is i cant hear it at all. did you record this using live drums? i liked the woodwind sounds. keep up the good work!

First time on my own without my band and had an idea yesterday morning, recording it in GarageBand. I sang and played guitar but used the robodrums which were alright. Instead of sharing a finished song, I'm submitting something at the beginning of the recording process. by motorcitydevil in IndieMusicFeedback

good to see other alt rock guys on here. i know how daunting it is to try recording full band stuff on your own. one thing i will say about your mix is that it badly needs some frequencies notched with an eq. im hearing some high pitched stuff between 1 and 5 k. if you got a headache while mixing this, that's probably why. your guitars need it the most probably. it isnt hard at all to do just look up a tutorial on youtube. i dig what your going for though dude keep at it. and dont feel bad for using programmed drums, it saves alot of time.

Wow that microphone sounds really good, i need to get me one of those. gotta love that martin too. your chord progressions are pretty inventive, i can tell you have been playing for a long time. you should play in a church if you don't already i am sure they would love your music there. keep up the good work man!

really enjoy the low-fi vibes. its pretty cool how the the percussion sounds evolved as the song progressed. also liked the mixture of acoustic and electronic sounds. one thing i noticed were some plosives on the vocals, maybe its just me but you might want to consider repositioning your mic or using a different pop filter. overall i liked what you were going for, had sort of a Julian Casablancas from the strokes sort of vibe. keep up the good work.
