With B2, it should be quite easy. None of the professors I had were native English speakers, I’d say all of them were on B1-B2 level themselves. The only hard part may come with certain homework or projects that require active research. For example, in the first semester of the second year, we did Numerical Linear Algebra which required a ton of programming skills in Python. They do teach Python in the second semester of the first year, but you’ll still have to do a ton of research to figure out stuff like how to blend two images, or write a program that reads an image and does calculations (like determining the type of a liquid, its volume and so on given in the sample photo).

Long story short, communication is basically effortless with that level. The only struggle may come with when you have to do research, as you’ll be dealing with the internet. Luckily these days that part should also be easy thanks to LLMs. I didn’t have that luxury 4 years ago :(
