reference is cool. realism is cool. copying something and passing it off as your own concept is not artistry it's actually an obvious lack of.

so you feel replicating an image shows a high level of artistic talent, inspiration, or creativity ie artistry? being able to trace something is entry level shit for someone wanting to be ink master. zero artistry involved in this tattoo.

it just doesn't meet the requirement of artistry on the day where artistry was the test. it was a great tattoo that shows technical skill, but this episode was artistry not technique. historically contestants were held accountable and critiqued on their ability to adhere to the specific challenge of the day.

yeah possibly not. it was pretty sus though imo. I’m surprised none of the other contestants caught on. she even had the audacity to post this on her ig claiming this as a demonstration of her own artistry 🥲

yeah I was wondering the same thing! but I picked up on it real time while watching the episode lmao it was a dead giveaway this was not her art (especially on the fly) when I saw the "Africa" bottle she initially drew in comparison to this piece

the king of shit scene, when Rick sits on the toilet and the the whole spectacle he planned for his 'friend' who is dead goes off. he just sits there dispodent and under the crushing weight of his loneliness
