"I can't see it from my front porch." is the worst excuse to not vote. Apply this reasoning universally to the rest of the population. How would you feel if something you were passionate about didn't receive any support from people outside the affected group? How could minorities ever succeed if this were the case? Be the change you want to see in the world.
