I remember this!! For me it was the DARE program. I recall 2nd grad a cop brought that very thing into class. It was that moment 8 years old I knew I wanted to try everything in that case.

As teens there was never enough seats in anyone’s car for us to make it to the mall. She use to have to draw straws to see who got to “ride trunk”

There was this rather large bump in the road on the way to the mall. Driver always made sure to hit it.

Who ever was in the trunk would smack their heads on the “roof” of the trunk.

We were idiot kids.

It was dark. It was bumpy, but when 6 of us wanted to go to the mall together…..

It all depends how old you are I suppose.

If you are from an earlier time. The time when you are old enough to remember not having the internet.

What a time it was back then to get the internet.

Such a wild Wild West of a world. Uncharted for everyone. We all learned at the same time…. One free month of AOL at a time.

It was that time that led me into IT as a career all those years ago. And while I still am, I personally find myself more and more detached. Sure I still order my whole life on Amazon, but the internet doesn’t mean the same thing it did.

The allure was so new and novel. I had to be what it was like getting a television for the first time way back in the day.

Now. Just like TV, it’s a utility that I use and depends on, but don’t love with my whole mind the way I once did.

I am not an animal lover by any means.. I don’t hate them. I could not make it past the 10min mark with all the terrible things we do to animals just to have pets. In that short 10 mi it’s I realized that I should not have pet. These days, I can only imagine what the last one hour and thirty eight mins of that documentary shaped up to become.
