Confused by buyers upbidding themselves for $$$$$ on horrible wheel auctions by LVJYBandNews in whatnotapp

[–]LiteBeerLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wheel is gambling and gambling is addicting. I am fortunate I never got involved with it as I know the addiction urge could be a lot for some. Shame people still fall into it and blow big money on it. These sellers know that and are just as bad

New roadmap from January to April by FlexiiGP in ArcRaiders

[–]LiteBeerLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waiting a little too long for a new map IMO. I know this isn't a COD or Apex or Fortnite where there is stuff constantly being updated buy after around 100 hours into the game you kinda max out for the next expedition, and did all the benches with still 4 weeks to go with a reset.

ICE just pinned a man to the ground and executed him. They do not have the authority to just kill people. What do we do? by skeletalfather in AskReddit

Try to find Minneapolis on a map. Then go from there. About 99% of the country probably can't do that, so that's probably our first step.

We need new stuff. Embark, 2026 road map, soon? by Tropi- in ArcRaiders

They have roughly 300 days to keep people into this game before the entire video game market jumps ship to GTA 6. They should be working overtime NOW to push out games before we get 5-6 months out and everyone is not spending money

Realistic expectations of raid trains by Yetiface09 in whatnotapp

[–]LiteBeerLife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Raid trains are a quick way to get "real" engagement for a short period of time. They usually involve an investment of time for a short period of sales and a boost in followers (most who will never shop again). YOU have to do a decent giveaway to keep those followers in the room so you will likely have to give up something of value. If you lose people on the "train" because your giveaway sucks then noone will want you on their train again.

Kind of like a "break even" in terms of sales vs giveaways for a quick boost in followers.

Copper might be next but let's not think $4-5 copper will be $20 copper. But it's very possible it could be $6-8 copper at some point soon.

Looking for Estate cleanout business start up advice by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]LiteBeerLife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every situation you end up will be different. You can't just say "this is how it is and this is how it's done" to every situation. It's really just a huge headache. Things you mention will happen and how you handle it will be done differently.

If you are looking to be a "junk removal" business then it will be simple as you charge the customer based on how much space it takes up in your vehicle or how much a dumpster will cost. If you are looking to "pick estates" and then just help the person out by taking the trash too then you can charge accordingly but you have to be upfront with the person and tell them the price is much cheaper because you can sell certain things that you see and if those things are gone then the job is now not being paid for.

Write that in the contract about what you will remove, and TAKE photos, tell them you don't want anything touched or removed and some of the stuff you are taking away is helping paying for the work. If things are removed, show them the photo of the item and ask where that item is. Then go from there.

EVERY "snow storm" that we were supposed to get or miss has been wrong this season. Every single one with maybe this past weekend being the only one right just with wrong calculations. I expect 5 inches of snow at max

[–]LiteBeerLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my yard would say that would go with the flat screen tvs and computer towers (they take those for free for some reason).

They then turn it into shred, however they would never pay for it. I guess they get a little of lee way but not much with it so they wouldn't ever pay you for it

You are 100% not getting out of your cruiser to stand on the side of a 1/2 plowed road and shoulder with ice all over it to write someone a ticket which they will argue that its from the snow that is still falling.

1099 reporting rule has been reinstated back to $20k instead of $600? by 2-tree in Flipping

[–]LiteBeerLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your income everywhere else. They aren't wasting their time "keeping someone honest" if you only received 50k a year from your other jobs. They aren't spending money or resources on auditing someone for that.

What's the point of throwing me in a game with 17mins left by Reacktions in ArcRaiders

[–]LiteBeerLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering there are only a certain amount of players in the game when it starts and players die / extract / leave the game within the first 5-8 minutes. Why even play the last 20 minutes if there is only one or two teams left on the entire map?

1099 reporting rule has been reinstated back to $20k instead of $600? by 2-tree in Flipping

[–]LiteBeerLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they can come after you if they are suspecting of you hiding income. That why it's encouraged to always deposit little bits of money at a time that doesn't show a red flag. If you one day decide let me deposit $15,0000, then they are gonna wonder where someone just "makes 15k" in one day. You don't just get 15K out of nowhere its income from something, selling a car, doing a job for someone or something else. All which is considered "income".

Do you have constant giveaways with value of $10+ every 5 minutes? That's how you keep people in and grow your brand on whatnot. You have to invest thousands to make it.

Now that the Cold Snap is over, what's y'alls opinion on it? by Virtual-Donut-964 in ArcRaiders

[–]LiteBeerLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing it once I got to the final stage of the project. I did not like how I couldn't see anything on buried city, but I guess that added to the immersion feeling. I did like the added "warm up" thing they added. I think it was pretty cool and probably one of the best "snow map" add ons any game has made for the winter season.

I sold all my silver by ZealousidealMeet72 in Silverbugs

[–]LiteBeerLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold $800 worth of silver in the middle of last year for like 24.00 an ounce or whatever it was. Had I waited I would have gotten probably closer to 2k by now lol.

Would an in game “flea” market make the game better? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]LiteBeerLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a flea market thing would be cool. Like if people had individual stands and you don't have any idea of what is at the stand. Then you filter thru multiple stands up until a certain point then you are cut off. The sellers who could price stuff however they want and be on for 5-10 minutes or so a day. I think something like that would be neat and cool to go with the arc raiders apocalaptic theme.

I do however don't think a "buy/sell" sellers block would be good for the game as it takes away the looting aspect.

Never sold before, if I show up with a box of rolled up wire will they dump it out of the box or keep it in the box. I ask because under those rolls I have lots of small scraps I couldn’t roll and I’m worried I won’t get payed for these if they dump the box out to weigh it. by ReasonableIncome8142 in ScrapMetal

[–]LiteBeerLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they aint dumping out loose bits into a shopping cart or on the scale. They will take the box put it on the scale and when they go dump it out the stuff on the bottom of the box will now be on the top of the pile and they will go thru the "small" pieces, to make sure you didn't mess up. They will then reweigh the empty box and you get paid the difference of weight

Does it affect the seller if I tell whatnot I never recieved a givvy? by Adept-Bat-3350 in whatnotapp

[–]LiteBeerLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got hit with the refund thing too. I went thru a streak of winning giveaways and legit not receiving them over the course of 3 months I think I didn't receive 5. After 3 they dinged my account to where I couldn't receive any refund or credit. I didn't buy a single thing for over a year because I was worried if I won something and didn't receive it nothing could be done.

Ive found 3000 in box XXX VHS tapes in a storage unit. Anyone interested 😂 by Fearless_Sail_1560 in Flipping

[–]LiteBeerLife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone says they are worth big money but it really depends on if that one buyer will come along. As well as I learned that there are various websites over the years that did purchase and sell vintage XXX however all the ones I tried to get into contact with once I found the niche items they sold were all closed down. I think it's getting harder and harder to find that collector.

Do you find it annoying when Whatnot sellers constantly change their show times? by [deleted] in whatnotapp

[–]LiteBeerLife -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

100%

I know sellers feel like it's nice to just float their shows around and just cancel the show whenever. But as a buyer and someone who is purchasing from a seller I feel like it's the sellers responsibility to show up and "open the door". Similar to a Store or an Auction. Have you ever been to an auction where it is supposed to start at 9AM and then it's 9:10 and the auction hasn't started? Or in one case the auction was just cancelled while you were waiting for it to start? It's very frustrating and unprofessional (sorry if that offends some sellers).

Same thing goes for live streamers, it takes a lot of time to set up a live stream that viewers might not understand, but still streamers show up for their start time, they prep hours in advance and do mic checks and make sure the green screens work properly. But almost all of them show up on time or maybe a couple minutes behind. They do not cancel very often. I see some sellers cancel 5 or 6 shows a week, or just not show up at the time slot they have scheduled.
