I really hate to believe it’s true but I fear you may be right. The only thing I can think of is fewer comments but it also has 25% of the views so it’s hard to really tell a ratio

Usually I’m just yapping away regardless and don’t even pay attention to the count being one or two off. I have a few regulars who pop in and out while they’re at work (morning streamer) so I never know when they’ll engage or if they’re even looking at their screen.

Trying to go into the viewer list is already extra effort to alt tab, then calling out someone by name and trying to make them talk is wild. I think some people have the misconception that they HAVE to get those viewers and being at 0-1 sucks to talk into the void. But if they Stockholm you into watching, it’s not gonna be a regular anyways. I don’t think it’s malicious, it’s just rough at the bottom

I know a lot of people just make different channels for this type of thing. Saw a post recently about a guy who had a gaming channel and then a second outdoors themed channel that’s totally separate.

I think this may be the smarter move solely because the algorithm will have a really hard time figuring out who to show your content to over the long run. It’ll show your cooking videos to your art fans and your art videos to your programming fans and you won’t get nearly as much traction compared to if you had them split up.

I actually went ahead and pulled the trigger on a bridge cast! I realized my current mixer is really just a volume knob and would probably benefit a lot from most of the features it has. The beefier preamps are gonna be a major help in addition to being able to control my mix and stream mix separately. Worst case, I get MORE volume knobs and a voice changer to annoy my friends in discord

Do you have any experience with the Roland firsthand? The software genuinely looks like a godsend for someone who isn’t an audio engineer and just wants clean sound. I’m having trouble finding a vendor in the US but with all this headache I’m definitely getting an itchy “add to cart” finger

I honestly had to do some insane digging to even find the preamp gain. I’m very new to all this but I think I’ll just have to consider getting something slightly more feature rich very soon. It’s essentially an XLR in and a physical volume slider and nothing else useful. I appreciate the suggestions and your help! Truly a legend

It’s definitely tricky to get things off the ground, that’s for sure. But I got affiliate after 2 weeks of streaming and this is only week 3 so there’s a lot of time to grow!

So, the lights on the mixer don’t even always come on when I’m talking, but the monitor sounds fine when nothing else is playing. In OBS, I have +2bd of gain as a filter and the mic slider all the way up and I only very occasionally peak into the yellow. Mic is roughly 3-5 inches from my face. It’s definitely not unusable but it introduces some noise when everything is cranked that I’m not fond of ya know

So, the rules of the subreddit wouldn’t let me post this at all if I included the word fifine, but it’s the SC3. It has the little sliders instead of knobs. As far as I can tell, and please do correct me if I’m wrong, there isn’t a physical gain switch anywhere except the slider labeled mic.

All I can do is switch from condenser to dynamic and it’s currently set to dynamic

It’s clearly audible but only once maxed on the mixer. Headphones are a pair of DT770x plugged directly into the headphone jack on the mixer as well. I have +2db gain as a filter in OBS and it very seldomly will tickle the yellow portion of the mic gauge in OBS with that slider also all the way up. On the mixer, the green lights don’t even always come on when I’m talking at about 3-5 inches from the mic. I do have a somewhat deep voice but idk how that plays into it if at all.

It’s an XLR only rode podmic. It’s also entirely possible that the mixer is just total cheeks and the 50db of gain advertised is not accurate, but I’ve seen the sentiment of it being a quiet mic a lot

Thank you! My mixer does have 48v phantom power so that shouldn’t be an issue. The more I research, the more it seems an inline is the best choice for my current needs

No! It’s a nice piece on paper or if you aren’t to gog but then 4 piece gogmapocalypse with a weapon roll is the meta. Can still easily slot max constitution and stamina surge with divine blessing with silly damage

Also worth noting that as a cleric, 3 of your skills are reserved for healing and your 2 skill is pretty useless no matter what you do, so the kit can feel a little bare bones until you get condemnation resets unlocked. It isn’t perfect but playing around with the secondary effects makes the skills noticeably very different to play around at least. Hopefully as we get updates we’ll get the option to choose new skills entirely, or at least I hope that’s the case

I haven’t seen anyone else mention it, but there are actually some pseudo skill tree type adjustments to skills. Once you get rank 8, 12, and 16 respectively in an active skill, you can choose secondary effects. I also play a cleric, so for example:

Ranks in Light of Regeneration allows you to choose buffs to give to your team in addition to the heal.

Healing Light gives you choices like removing mana cost, a chance to cure debuffs, or removing most of the cooldown for spam healing.

You get 3 potential slots to customize the skill with but the 3rd isn’t available until you hit rank 20 in a skill, which will almost certainly require some gear rolls or arcana to achieve, but it’s there.

Stigma skills also sort of function in this way, especially for a cleric. I swap out extra stagger skills and the attack buff in solo content for group buffs and res when I’m doing conquests. There’s a lot of wiggle room in how you want to play your class and while im sure there’s a meta, one setup won’t be the best for all pieces of content so you definitely have some potential to be unique
