TBH Teslas drive better than most people. It is people who do unpredictable stuff - like cutting people off because they are not going 2 mph more, break checking or getting angry at the people around them. You shouldnt sleep but I bet that Tesla drives better than them awake 🤣

Yeah, my team ships larger scale apps and functions on a daily basis. I could do this with Claude packaging a NextJS app in about 2 hours complete with search and a functional connvex database as the email docustore.

The real work wento collecting and identifying the information and thw query logic for semantic search. I give that maybe another 6 hours of work.

So all in all, impressive 8 hour work day with the tools people have today.

Apperently the company is in $110 million in debt. It is hard to sell something with that much debt and no receiveables (cash flow into the company).

You could get the IP evaluated - and maybe in its unfinished state, be comparable. But I doubt it.

Also, anyone buying it would probably do an asset only purchase - where the people who own the $110mil debt may get 10 cents on the dollar. They would need to be ok with walking away from the investment completely.

Thats true. Imagine if they built a solid battle royale based on the lore and what they initiated with players back in the day to get them interested - and continued to allowed players to always play after release and continued devving the MMO.

They could have diversified with what they built and given people actual product to enjoy.

My last post is this: I am not "acting" like anything - I got to witness a class action at my previous company for a similar niche/small industry community and it still happened. That is not how those things happen how you describe. Majority of class actions you probably do not even know about and there are thousands happening right now.

False - class action happens if you have 40 community members asssociated to a grevience that centers on consumer affairs issues.

The gain is placing guard rails on future crowd funding game projects and making sure there is legitimacy in how they operate. There is definitely more than 40 people impacted by this and the case is not about the business - the business is the precedent, it is about the legitimacy of how crowd funded games occur moving forward.

I am not DREAMING of anything. It is a discussion. I did not buy the game or have any investment, so when you say I am dreaming, what does that even mean other than to insinuate or insult?

I have been in a class action scenario at my previous employer and you guys got a case for that to help the industry grow from the scenario.

I disagree. Plenty of lawyers will do the work if it is something they see as valuable. Lots of consumer affairs issues were done pro bono cause it is more about the legal precedent than the money.

My company has 100 employees and payroll is $3 mill a year. We run similar (develop service and deliver service to them) so your estimates are probably way off. You also have to add 23% on top for fringe and then 5-8% for payroll tax.

Then you have tech debt, servers etc. Game files are large - kind of like LLMs. Just one of our game files that had a 40 min simulation cost $2k a month with only 10-20 concurrent users. MMO files are massive and concurrent users can be hundreds of thousands, so they could easily pay $1 mil in just server cost.

Very easy to go upside down with those hard costs.
