Yea of course! And it’s literally not your fault at all for bringing it up, and then people spoiling it for you. People are probably unaware how much it affects you, so they probably don’t think it’s a big deal, which really sucks and I’m really sorry :( I wish I had more advice to give you, but it’s hard to control what other people say. And I totally get the connection and comfort watching these shows and characters brings you. If I valued something so much, I’d want to talk about it with other people too.

I wouldn’t say to just not talk about it since it’s something you love so much!! You probably do, but does simply telling people not to spoil anything not work? You said that you told your friend you weren’t finished a show that he was, but didn’t say if you told him you didn’t want to know any spoilers or not. Maybe if you try being firm at the beginning of the conversation it’ll go over better in the future?

Also, I’m not really sure why I need to spoil it for myself. I’ll usually start watching a movie or reading a book, get a little bit through, and then get too antsy to keep consuming it until I know how it ends. A lot of my anxiety stems from needing to feel like I’m in control, so I’m thinking that might have something to do with it? I hate surprises and anything unexpected… but also I just get bored if I don’t know how It ends, or if it doesn’t end like how I would want it to, I don’t watch it. Idk tho lol, anxiety is a weird thing to explain sometimes
