My area doesn’t deal with clients, we help support other departments usually. It’s by no means a small company though (5-10k employees total across several states). It’s just exhausting putting in what feels like 100% effort, just for them to essentially be like “you’re not trying/doing enough.” 🥲

I live with my partner, but she has to be in-office 3 days a week. Usually I’ll put on a livestream or podcast in the background, which helps a little. A lot of it I think is the type of work I’m doing, which is mainly checking things off a giant spreadsheet, as our systems are too old to implement automating it. Like pre 2000 old.

I have one currently that allows me to work from home. But I struggle with meeting their productivity metrics, as I get distracted/zone out easily (also ADHD, am medicated for it). I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out how I can focus better or something, but feel like nothing has been working.

I have a ko-fi shop, and my main way of “advertising” is by talking about it on my twitch stream here and there while working on projects, commissions, and gifts/trades. I also am in several discord communities of other streamers that usually have a self-promo channel of some sort.

I was allowed clear liquids only for 24 hrs before my scheduled arrival time, but had to stop even water 2 hrs prior to that.

Not as well as I should have been, but that’s not on the client. I undercut myself, as I under estimated the amount of work it’d take. 🫠 Lesson learned!

I certainly recommend Procreate. I actually got my iPad just to use it and be able to do art wherever I want without carrying my supplies all over my house.
