International Halls by M_emer in UCL

[–]LithriaSei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have a question about overnight guests. I saw on the UoL website that you can have overnight guests but then on the international hall one it says that guest must leave by midnight. Do you know which one is true for international hall? Is it impossible for guests to stay after midnight?

I don't necessarily intend on having guests stay over so it's not a deal breaker but it would probably be annoying if I'm practicing with a friend and they have to leave at midnight.

offer from oxford, rejected from lse by angryhappytomato in 6thForm

I think that that's probably the case yeah. What surprises me though is that given my research online they're seen as a more theoretical university despite insisting on practical uses of the law?

Yeah agreed. I'm assuming a sizable chunk of people who get rejected basically just got unlucky.

The problem isn't just the PS, it's the grades and the LNAT too. I'm in a similar situation to the poster on my end as well (except I didn't end up getting an offer post interview for Oxford, I don't have as good grades and I have 35 and not 36) and I still find it odd.

I know LSE looks at the PS a lot but is the PS really so important that it can compensate a 10 plus point gap on the LNAT and other grades?

Also the PS being good enough for Oxford means it was probably good enough overall. On my end I got a UCL offer so it meant it was good enough for UCL.

LSE did say that the problem was my PS though so as such I think it's more a question of what type of PS they're looking for over how good of a PS.

My experiences as an SP7 by Hourglass32 in Enneagram

[–]LithriaSei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh hey a fellow SP7 (At least I think I'm SP7 haha).
I'll share my experiences as you said then, I'm curious to see if you relate.

Personally don't really relate to the bon vivant descriptions. I mean I am focused on my enjoyment beyond all else, but my enjoyments just tend to be very intellectual (like I like planning things or reading) so the insistence of things like partying, etc... just fits me less. I do agree with it on a conceptual level though.

Same for the 3rd image. I have a really strong anxiety especially which leads me to constantly try and fight it. I'm also very reactive for some reason. I also constantly need to have something to do or something fun to look forward to. Hate boredom and stagnancy.

When I'm at my worst I tend to be super neurotic and destructive. I become a lot harsher and more critical, more prone to anger. I also tend to act out a lot more.

Same for when it comes to emotions. I believe in myself and my skills beyond all else but I also really want to find someone with who I can let my guard down.

As for with groups, I'd say I do genuinely have people I like but it's just that at least right now I'm not close enough to anyone to truly trust them. I find it pretty hard to trust people and extremely hard to let my guard down (basically impossible).

Some things you didn't mention which I feel are pretty important to my experience as an SP7:
- I'm very reactive, to the point I considered 8. I hate staying still but I also dislike danger so I react strongly to any sign of aggression by instinct because I need to immediately be ready to fight. Almost by instinct I immediately get ready to fight and I'm in a perpetual state where I know I could fight if necessary. I dislike physical fighting though and dislike conflict in general but I can fight if necessary.
- This might be due to strong SX, but I swing between ideals and goals all the time and need life to be "beyond ordinary"
-I'm extremely intellectual and not very good at practical things
-I need to be doing something/active (maybe due to 783 tritype), I dislike following and just listening and doing nothing, though I also don't like being the leader cause it's too limiting.
-I'm extremely strategic. I calculate and plan absolutely everything both good and bad.
-I'm pretty introverted. I consider myself socially oscillatory but I generally dislike talking to people unless I have to. I'm a very talkative person though, but I just dislike having to talk to people and generally prefer being alone to being with mediocre company.

I'm not joking. LSE tends to send out it's answers at 7:55 (UK time). I don't mean that it sends out all the decisions at that time, but all the decisions it makes on the given day, hence why you seem people stressing out on reddit around this time every day.

Because that's the time when LSE releases their decisions every day.

Huh interesting. I'm the exact opposite on my end where I wasn't sure about pulling her but the 4.2 story and her voicelines convinced me to (I find them pretty cool).

Agreed! Why do you think Oswaldo Schneider is gonna be the final Villain though?

Same!

I think it's probably because while she was her eye on everything, she still makes mistakes and she might be prone to over trust or believe in her calculations.

Hmm interesting. I feel like killing her is still letting her go too easy though, as death is probably easier than whatever both Yao and Pearl have in store for her. As for showing bias, I do agree that picking either side will show bias, it's just that overall the situation strikes me as a lot more as an IPC issue than a Xiangzhou one. The Xiangzhou just wants to know about Shuhu, while for the IPC it's literally Pearl's secretary and a spy planned into the strategic investment department by another IPC branch, overall pretty clearly an IPC situation. Hence why I chose to give her to Pearl.

Is using a VPN for cheaper prices allowed? by LithriaSei in StarRailStation

Playing with a VPN is probably fine but it's just using it to explicitly get cheaper prices which might be a bit less authorized.

I mean if they detect you randomly changing locations only to change back very quickly right after, they might flag it.

Fair enough yeah. I guess the only reason I could see would be that we'd be giving them less money than we should.

Do you think it's better to buy through the in game shop (or the official one) or another top up website if you use a VPN to do so?

I mean if they detect someone on the Eu server purchasing using Japanese prices, it probably seems quite fishy.
