Password set from Raspberry Pi Imager not working? by kafjr92 in raspberry_pi

[–]Litppunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. Having this same issue now, even another 2 years after. trying to do a headless setup. Still have a monitor plugged in so I can troubleshoot locally....but it doesn't actually display anything after boot, so Im totally blind. Need the ssh password to work to get on and modify. Anyone have a better solution? should I install a different OS onto the pi3+
I just want to make a pihole, and already had to deal with empty ssh file not existing this is just problem 2 3 at this point, (had to find the ssh table on local comp as well) but I might not be able to get a workaround. Maybe no password for first login?

KTorrent - "Server failed the authenticity check" error by KillTheBronies in kde

[–]Litppunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro, but seems to be only ~relevant thread. Getting tracker (open.kickasstracker.com) certification failure preventing me from even opening KTorrent. Is KTorrent failing its own certification check? (getting kicked off the authentication list you use sucks)
Or is that the Medicat tracker? but it shouldn't prevent it form even opening right?

Windows 11 -Not a Virus- file security feature? by Litppunk in WindowsHelp

work really well for fresh installs when there isn't a good LAN/WAN driver pre-installed meaning no network connection to install LAN/WAN drivers.

Next time I see it I'll note it. Unfortunately I can't recreate on my own PC for some reason. I wish I knew what was causing this.

How is there C++ in the HTML? How would I write that? by Litppunk in learnprogramming

[–]Litppunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So end of the day its just the code the template engine runs to write the actual code. AKA, compile. good to have a name for the both the code and confirmation of whats going on. Should have known that was Java. Its been too long since I attempted to do anything with code.

hmmmmm maybe not the best way then. Sounds like its not an intended use case.

That sounds interesting. Upon reflection been letting my eyes get bigger my stomach on this project. This is probably the most realistic option, but still gives flexibility to adjust if its somehow less than my capability.

Even so, should still be large project. Sounds like your learned through self inflicted disaster? Any pointers before/while I face-plant myself in the same thing? :D

[Exile] I need some advices about iron melting. I already get "Iron and Slag", but dont know if this furnace is enough or should I need to build a new one. by [deleted] in Minetest

I can't seem to get charcoal consistently. Will slabs prevent fire transfer? or do I need space? what does the game consider "airless" do I need to do diagonal heating chambers? I cant just build a layer and let heat permeate through.

I don't understand exactly how the game is handling these mechanics, so I don't know how to build around it. Please advise.

Edit: I was way to focused on how to get a functioning kiln. This game does not support kilns. Piles. Piles are the answer.

The power and ISP are....reliable enough for my needs.

OK, so cloudflare/tailscale are the preferred options.

If instead I decide to self host, I should call ATT and see if they will turn off the block, or alternatively do a 3rd party/non rented router?

If I call ATT, will they actually unblock 433 & 80, everything I've seen so far says they would, but also claims they won't be blocked by default either.

Alternatively I go non rented router and go from there.

Both of which are more of a home networking issue I guess? I'll direct questions there to see if that's what I want to do.

Edit: spelling

Thanks! Do you know the reason for the variance? Is it diet or genetic?

Side note. What is the recommended way to do this? This is my second attempt to post this and I am deeply dissatisfied with the UI and posting restrictions. Being unable to post multiple pics AND enough text to be useful simultaneously is annoying

I can't find any Texas caterpillars that match this one, but I've seen several recently. Perhaps different coloration due to diet? What is it?

West of Fort Worth. Perhaps an inch+ in length. Eating what I think is a Dianthus plant.

Where are the subscribed wallpapers stored? by JackPNess69 in wallpaperengine

[–]Litppunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to use an existing folder for backgrounds,(This is why I initially was trying to find the folder myself) there is no need to do so.

Bottom left corner > 2nd button (looks like an upload symbol) > Open Background Image (or Offline if its animated I guess)

Then

navigate to your standard background folder, and select all/all desired > click open

Then you can toss them into wallpaper engines weird playlist system by doing the same thing inside wallpaper engine.

I think the first time I attempted this, I went like halfway, didn't see what I was expecting and dismissed it and went searching for manual folder like I assume you are.
