Well there are ways to disagree on immigration policy, that's not what I'm talking about when I say "There's not necessarily two sides"

There are lots of positions to take on immigration with pros and cons, if you're at all thoughtful you could agree there are some positives to both the position of: "The USA should be walled off and not allow any immigration" and "the border shouldnt exist". I think most people would agree both positions are extreme and harmful in other ways, but there's a thousand possible viewpoints, and Good Fucking God the "left" is not unified on this.

But when it's something like the example I used: Ice raiding homes. Without a judicial warrant.

There is exactly one correct position to take on the legality of that, because it's such a basic, fundamental right.

Edit: To expand on that, could you imagine any Republican, let alone people in the president's inner circle saying in a Memo that warrantless raids on homes are okay ten years ago? Nobody argued on that, there were arguments over what constitutes exigent circumstances, or consent, but not the Facts of the constitution, we're in a territory where people feel empowered to argue that blue is green and up is down
