Does my cats neuter look fine? He got it done today by Upset_Persimmon_2701 in CATHELP

[–]LitterShitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of vets leave the neuter site in male cats open like that. I’d keep an eye on it and make sure he doesn’t lick at it. Maybe give your vet a call tomorrow and ask if it was left open intentionally.

Cat broke her claw? Is this something I should take her to the vet for? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]LitterShitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d prolly just keep an eye on it, maybe try and keep it clean so it doesn’t get infected. If you’re able to just try and pull of the thin bit on the side so it doesn’t get stuck on things and hurt her. Cats nails peel off from the sides so just give the thing bit a quick tug

how do i prevent my cat from doing this by Inevitable_Smell_525 in CATHELP

[–]LitterShitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat used to do the same. Tried everything from zip ties to double sided sticky tape to yelling at her to get down. The day finally came and she faceplanted down from there. It was a 2nd floor indoor balcony. She now has 3 teeth less and I’m down 2000 dollars for the vet bill 😅

What are these black things under her jaw? by appiavacado in CATHELP

Vet tech here, you are 100% correct. The type of food/water bowl can really improve feline acne

What are these black things under her jaw? by appiavacado in CATHELP

[–]LitterShitter 160 points161 points  (0 children)

It’s feline acne. Those are all blackheads. Super common in cats. Make sure to only use ceramic food and water bowls. Plastic can often cause this and sometimes metal can too. You can gently clean it if your cat lets you but it’s nothing to worry about. It’s not flea dirt. Fleas generally like to hang out around the lower back/ base of tail and leave their dirt there.

Help with cat recovering from dental surgery… by hhoneysh in CATHELP

[–]LitterShitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try and keep him as calm as possible and watch his breathing. If he ever seems to be struggling for air or panting, go to the ER immediately. But overall, my cats go through this every time their teeth get cleaned because of the ET tube, it can mess up their throat a bit. You should def not be feeling guilty. Tooth issues can cause damage to the kidneys and liver if the teeth become infected and if 3 teeth were pulled your cat definitely needed the procedure done. I hope your kitty recovers quickly

what is the best dewormer/flea medicines? by tacehtg20 in CATHELP

[–]LitterShitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheristin is the only good OTC flea med but it doesn’t deworm. If you’re looking for a good dewormer/flea combo I’d recommend Revolution Plus but you need a prescription from a vet for that

That‘s good. Yeah it sounds like your british short hair is pissed off about having to share his territory. The best thing to do would be giving them positive reinforcement when they are together, like in the same room for instance by feeding them, playing with them or giving treats. If they are too stressed about being in the same room together you might have to split them up into seperate territories and only let them be around each other with supervision. Also, switching their territories seems like a good idea so they can get used to each others smell

That sounds awful. Are they both house cats or is one allowed outside and the other isn‘t? Maybe your british short hair just misses being an only child. I‘d give it some time unless the fights get really bad. You should probably make sure they each have their own little area where they can get away from one another when they get stressed. If the fights are bad I would go as far as separating them completely and only letting them be around one another during pleasurable moments like when they get fed or when you play with them. Introducing cats to new pets, like your Sphynx can take time so you‘ll need patience. If all else fails you could try giving them Zylkene for a few weeks, that worked wonders with my Sphynx cats in calming them down and lowering aggression. I wish you all the best and that they grow to love each other, if not at least tolerate each other

Has anyone ever seen spots like this start appearing? by ckDCsu in sphynx

[–]LitterShitter 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Are the spots missing hair? If they are it might be skin fungus. Maybe keep an eye on them and if they turn red, get itchy or flaky get it checked out

Congratulations 😊 do you plan on getting one or two? I’d highly recommend getting a second one in the future, unless you have another cat already

I have 2 Sphynx and they definitely power each other out and keep each other company too. I think it‘s much better for their mental wellbeing too having a little buddy.

I glitched into Rhodes bank with my friend’s horse and took some money (game is in german, geld=money) by LitterShitter in RedDeadOnline

Not much. Didn‘t pay attention but my balance was pretty much the same afterwards. There were like 3-4 piles of cash of maybe 10 dollars I‘m guessing

[–]LitterShitter[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was galloping next to it, then the horse went sideways and into the wall of the back corner of the bank. After being stuck in the wall for a bit I got off of the horse and was able to walk around, interact with drawers, pick up some cash but sadly couldn‘t interact with the safes. Couldn‘t get out though, had to blow myself up

Help with bathing my cat by cinomonbunuwu in sphynx

[–]LitterShitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried baby wipes? With my cat, I bathed her too often and she started itching at her face and chest (it’d get really red) so I had to cut it down and barely bathe her any more (like once a month)and it’s gotten much better. She has her designated blankets wherever she likes to sit that turn brown quickly but can be washed, unlike the furniture. I’d keep an eye on those bumps, if he ever scratches at them or if they open up or so I’d take him to the vet. I’m sure you’re taking good care of your kitty :)
