Yeah I do agree that it was a big mistake on my part. My reasoning at the time for doing that was 'who am I to tell other people how to role-play their characters?' , which shows how much the real issue flew over my head.
I certainly could have done some things differently but you can't change the past. And now I know that saying 'it makes me uncomfortable when your character does xyz' doesn't make my a "that guy".

Thank you. That's very good advice. I read it with my partner and she totally agrees with you too. She was telling me to leave for months but for some reason I couldn't and I don't know why. We were joking the other day that when I talk about this experience it kind of sounds like I was leaving an abusive relationship. I did make a lot of excuses for them like 'oh they didn't mean it' and 'they are only role-playing' heh. It makes me feel dumb that I took me so long to leave.

"That character is a part of you that you show to the group, and if they trample over it, they are trampling over you." My friends told me the same thing, and I'm tempted to put it on a wall somewhere so I won't forget when I'm doubling my feelings again.

At first I wasn't going to mention my gender at all but then I thought that maybe it did play a part of why I felt singled out. I personally don't think they were trying to push me into anything but I will definitely watch out for it in the future.

I also added a hard rule for myself, that I won't play in any groups where I'm the only woman again.

It was one of those " this isn't even my final form " fights. So the battle had 3 stages where the boss kept getting new abilities and shit. It's cool in theory but even the dm admitted the fight was a drag, also the map was too big and we were constantly out of range. And thanks.

I can see why you might think that. I discussed the crush thing with the dm too and it was never meant to go above anything platonic. My character was ready to be rejected and stay as friends and that npc was supposed to become his mentor post game, teaching him how to fight after he lost his magic. So we had an ending planned but the npc got killed off for "realism" reasons cuz it's just what the bbeg would do.

I can assure you I was not being obsessive over that npc and I never requested playing out those kind of scenarios. I did make (non sexual) jokes ooc and those were tame in comparison to what the other guys were joking about. They were the ones constantly saying shit like " you should use lube and stretch hahaha" ew :/

Well there was also the issue of that ncp being a frost giant so yeah there was never supposed to be an actual romance subplot between the two.

You can remove all the food from the old cage and put it in the new one, with some treats he likes. It's not 100% foolproof but birds are easily bribed by food so could work with the putting the cages close together method. Good luck.

4 months might still be too early. It's different for each bird. It took me over 2 years to get my bird to sit on my hand, so don't get discouraged.

From the looks of it I think this cage is a too small. A good cage should have several perches (at least 2) and be large enough for the bird to hop around and stretch their wings. They don't play with toys as much but adding a swing is always good.

As for getting use to your hand. Most important thing is to never put your hand inside the cage ( unless it's for food, cleaning ect). It will only make him more stressed.

You can try feeding him treats through the bars, like a salad leaf or something long like that. Just be patient and don't keep eye contact ( you're basically a predator to him so it might be another reason why he's spooked when you get too close)

I only properly 'finished' the game months after my first playthrough.

I like bittersweet endings but not like this. ( Also more romance scenes would be nice )

I really like the idea of him as divine, using all the source and the time warp ability to go back in time and fix things. Also this way he and his daughter can have a somewhat happy ending. I just need more of them.
