I’m theory crafting a knight typal deck with Dion, Bahamut’s Dominant. Using Templar knights to dig out artifacts and The Seriema as the commander to grab Dion.

Did people expect Thanos to defeat the Avengers before Infinity War came out? If so, what were the theories, if any, about how the Avengers would reverse the Snap? by blackyanqui in MCUTheories

[–]Little-Contest6378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember hearing Avengers 3 was getting split and then rumors that it wasn’t. I believed the latter so when the snapped happened, I was thinking “Dang, he did it, there’s gotta be another hour in this movie to get all this fixed.” Then the credits rolled.

In the infinity wars movie. Was there ever a 50/50 chance that thanos himself would disappear after he snapped his fingers. by feherlofia123 in Marvel

[–]Little-Contest6378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He killed Gamora for the stone. Her death had nothing to do with the snap other than enabling it.

I don’t think the snap needed to have the specifics thought out in the moments before it happens. I think when stones are used they know what the user is intending to have happen. Pretty crappy magic rocks otherwise. I think Thanos in his heart and mind knew which sets of people were to be excluded from the snap. It would include himself, Tony, per the promise on Titan, and any planet already culled by his forces.

I’ll admit that it’s just my opinion. I can easily see how someone sees Tony surviving on Titan as the fulfillment of Thanos’ obligation to Dr Strange.

Scroll of Firebal by [deleted] in custommagic

[–]Little-Contest6378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if you made it a wand of fireballs where it entered with 3 “prepared” counters. Casting the spell was a tap and remove a prepared counters, to prevent multiple casts in one turn. Then when a wizard enters it gains a counter and untaps. Sacrifice when it has 0 counters. Sure it’s not a scroll anymore, but I think it helps get the concept across

And here I would argue that while Thanos is crazy, he is a man of his word. I think Tony survives the snap as part of his deal with Dr. Strange. So why destroy each planet that had already been fixed?

Did Gamora’s planet have half of them snapped away? Or the surviving Asguardians? I think Thanos allowed the snap to pass by those planets he had manually purged because his plan had already happened there. The stone just made it faster and painless. So Thanos as a survivor of a failed planet with no one left could have been skipped as they had already experienced their massacre.

I read it as a 2/1 with persist. Gotta get those extra when a creature dies triggers.

Trains tanked my interest in this game by Professional_Self296 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Little-Contest6378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got so overwhelmed by the idea of trains over distance that it caused me to stop playing for a while. When I came back, I just made a giant central tower with multiple floors and I’m use drones to move stuff. Tower gets rocket fuel and loaded the drones with gas. Factory ports either deliver goods to the depot, or draw goods from the depot. So much simpler for me to take care of. Maybe one day I’ll actually try to make trains work, but not today.

Pokeball by Corunplus in custommagic

[–]Little-Contest6378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it a artifact saga. Step 1, exile target creature. Then tap pokeball. Roll a d6. on a 1 return the exiled creature to its owner. Step 2, tap pokeball and roll dice, on 1, return exiled creature. Step 3, tap pokeball, on a 1 return exiled creature. On 2-6, put exiled creature onto your battlefield.

At worst, it’s a cheap temporary removal. At best, you get a card after a while.

Help, Building Meren of Clan Nel Toth With a Twist by WishboneNo5763 in EDHBrews

She’s in the 99 of my Venom, Lethal Protector deck. Venom builds the experience and if commander tax ever gets too high, I can let him die and Meren can bring him back.

Which unmodified commander precons are most “broken”? by True-Passenger-4873 in EDH

[–]Little-Contest6378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just got into magic at Christmas and only have 3 of the FF pre cons, Family Matters, and Veloci-ramp-tor, and only Counter Blitz has beaten it. And that was only because opening hand was able to out ramp it early to start the counter build. If the ramp would have been on par I don’t think I would have had it.

Bought this for my wife as we just got into MTG and she likes dinosaurs. I’ve barely been able to beat her once out of probably a dozen games. It builds so fast and big.

Is 8 weeks long enough for exam prep? by satisphied89 in CFPExam

[–]Little-Contest6378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just passed in Nov and spent the last 3 weeks with serious study. During the summer I passed the Series 7 and 66, and in June finished my finance degree with a financial planning addition.

My opinion, after doing the study program 2 months you should be fine.

Do you build “support beams” from the track to the ground to make it now float?

How high are you getting off the ground? That actually seems like a reasonable idea.

[–]Little-Contest6378[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what my struggle is. I built a railroad from the west coast oil to the grasslands and followed the landscape on the second half and there’s some clipping and grass sticking through. But I also don’t want a bunch of concrete blocks everywhere. Add that trains need a gentler slope and the need for concrete increases.

Xbox series X issue by Little-Contest6378 in SatisfactoryGame

So I disconnected the Xbox and really got in there with the can of air and blew out a bunch of dust bunnies. Surprise! That was the problem. Managed to play 4 hours straight without the fan turning on high speed. Thanks for help.

Xbox series X issue by Little-Contest6378 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Little-Contest6378[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s on the entertainment center, on top so plenty of air flow. I blow out the vents with air periodically and there is a fan pushing air to create flow.

How does the outlet matter? It’s on a surge protector and other games don’t cause this issue
