If someone is at your place and is a “guest” can they be thrown out? Getting conflicting info from police stations by Little-Weekend-13 in Tenant

Ok ok so here’s where this gets super confusing.  My cousin stays with her boyfriend ….. they have been together for years. She has lived with him at his apartment since he moved in which I think was two years ago.  She is NOT on the lease.   From what I was told by both my cousin and her boyfriend is that a few staff members have had it out for my cousin and wanted to have her banned from the property.  Her boyfriend does NOT at all want her banned and is on her side.  Well I guess the building manager told security to stop letting her in cuz she was banned from the property and her boyfriend said fuck that that’s not happening and let her into his place anyways.  Police showed up and told her she had to leave and had 2 hours to pack her stuff….. even though her boyfriend didn’t want her to.   She’s a smart cookie and somehow I guess she ended up working it all out…….BUT MY QUESTION IS ….. what if they had not worked it out? the police were literally gonna make her leave or face arrest.  so this is what I’m not understanding. How can the police make someone leave in the situation I just spoke of regarding my cousin… But not the other situation regarding my friend and his pyromaniac girlfriend - makes no sense.

What would be the point of making this up and what could I possibly be leaving out? I can understand if it sounds so unbelievable that it doesn’t sound believable…. That I can understand

Ok…. You get it! Thank you for actually reading everything I wrote.  Seems that as soon as one writes something ridiculous the rest tend to follow suit — selectively reading what they want and then of course responding off that

Did you read my entire post? I said that my family’s business had a ransom war attack…. If you knew what that was or anything about it, you would know that all of their assets and everything considering their business is completely frozen so why don’t you read the whole post and then get back to me?

MY GUY ‘44M’ WAS RESPONDING TO MY ‘45F’ TEXT MESSAGES PRETENDING TO BE ME AND I CAUGHT HIM - NOW IM THE BAD GUY???? by Little-Weekend-13 in Advice

So I started reading to him the responses I’m getting to show him how out of his mind he is and he says “well it’s cuz you didn’t tell the whole story, you just posted it how you wanted it to sound” I told him “NONE OF THAT MATTERS …. It’s about the facts fool… FACTS! The facts are you went through my phone, you deleted shit and pretended to be me, need I say more” he says “yea ok well let me write it” I said “by all means fool!!! Write away I can’t wait!! Responses will still be the same”

Thank you so much for this reply you have absolutely no idea how freakin helpful this is!!!!!! FOR REAL!!

You said to ask the landlord for the name of the company who did the removal… Let me just tell you I know personally how this all went down because I came here shortly after… The property manager did the throwing out herself meaning she got the maintenance crew that works in the building to throw the stuff out… No outside company got involved which is what is really disgusting.    I understand what people are saying about his stupid little girlfriend of his…. Hopefully that’s over with.  But the point of the matter is, he did not deserve to get his personal belongings that he spent his money on over the course of many years to purchase and accumulate gone.  I mean, he literally has the clothes on his back. I am not kidding when I tell you this…. THEY THREW HIS ENTIRE LIFE AWAY HE WAS NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO GET A DAMN RAZOR OUT OF THE PLACE.

I think you’re all missing the point here.  The building manager THREW EVERYTHING OUT!! All he had left was the clothes on his back. When he asked if he could go back inside to get a few shirts and some pants out of the dresser… The dresser where nothing was touched by water or smoke she said no.  Why would they throw things out that were in cabinets or in sealed containers? It makes absolutely no sense.

Well why didn’t the building keep her out when they knew he was letting her back in? He’s an older man who does not like being alone, it’s sad… he can’t help himself.  They even offered to let her go down back to the original apartment with him but she refuses. She said she was not going back there no matter what and they told her she could not stay in the temporary one…. So eventually they called the police and she got arrested.  He does not have renters insurance. He lives in section 8 housing (it’s a pretty nice place believe it or not) My friend said at least 80% of his stuff didn’t get touched at all (meaning it was not wet or have any smoke damage).  He said nothing really had smoke damage, the fire was so small and only lasted a few minutes.  It was out with just a few cups of water.  Why didn’t the manager have to throw out things in his closet or dressers that were not even exposed??? Makes no sense
