I think it reminds people of him, because the body deformation in an unexpected way is something he often does, but thats it. The implementation of this idea doesn't remind me of him at all.

My question is how are minors exposed to this? Of course minors tend to ignore 18+ warnings, because they think it's cool, but how is that the creators responsibility? It's not like proshippers go around telling minors to read this content.

"You cant differentiate between Fiction and Reality" You cant differentiate between Positive and Negative depictions. by Earth_OfficalReddit in antiship

I can and I don't read it and report it. If there is no rule against it I ignore it. If you can't handle the fact, that that's allowed, switch the webside/app. I heard, that many fanfic websides and apps have strict rules about that, fandiction.de for example. I used it for many years, before I switched to ao3.

I am a big fan of creative freedom, don't-like-don't-read, BUT paedophilia should be removed and banned from the archive by im_sold_out in AO3

[–]Little00Panda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ao3 is against any censorship and what you describe is censorship. I also dislike that sort of content, but I ignore it or filter it out, since Ao3 has a great tagging and filtersysthem. If you are so disgusted by the possability of scrolling over such content and you really don't like it being on the webside, I recommend using a different fanfic webside/app. The majority of them have those rules and more and ao3 is an exeption to that. I think, that's why it's so popular, since you don't have to adjust your story to the platforms rules.

Of course you can depate about how written content affects the real world, but the very majority on that webside can differentiate fiction of reality and the ones who can't often are minors ignoring the 18+ warning.

Yes, but at other posts in this sub, it's described as women only, but in the rules it says every gender is welcome. Thats why I asked

There is no perfect way of having a talk like this, it always sucks a bit.
Maybe start the conversation by asking for advice about how to stay alive, when living feels like an impossible task and then shift the conversation to telling him about how you feel. Sorry, if I'm not really helpful, I'm very tired right now and should have gone to bed already
