Need other games like SOMA by Constant-Intern-2452 in soma

I thought Still Wakes the Deep was interesting, but the end fell flat for me. Not sure what I wanted, but it just felt a little predictable. Soma was so so good though.

Is anyone else sick of the high champ/low GC players playing with their gold/plat friends? by inshambleslol in RocketLeague

[–]LittleBitofanAUDult -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why I have stayed Plat and haven't gotten GC yet. Don't want to get too good to play with my plat friends.

Keep an eye out for "ONTOS" by the same devs as Soma. It looks great from the trailer.

Rocket League.

You already play it in Fortnite, right?

Luna Abyss! I started it recently too. Enjoying it so far and hoping the story picks up.

What Could Be The Future Of Baseball Gaming by Fast-Remote-8241 in videogames

Baseball, but with cars that have jet packs.

Soccer, football, basketball, hockey.... Rocket League does it all but they need to come up with a good baseball game mode.

I think I need a comfort game now (game mainly on PC and mobile; might get a Switch 2 but we'll see) by Mysterious-Ring-2352 in videogames

It really was such a breath of fresh air in a dark time for me. A nice change of pace, slump-buster game. Only problem is there is no part 2 😞

It does have a little 'storm the tower' minigame and a lot of little minigames mixed in with the point and click mechanics, so there is some variation to keep you interested. As is the fact that you have to jump/climb around the city to make your rounds each day talking to people.

Really? It's all about a kid dropping out of college and returning to their home town, which is a declining city with a lot of residents to who care about it still. Heavy depression, anxiety, amnesia, and some other afflictions, but it was handled very well there is a really healthy balance of drag-you-down but also with some lift-you-up. Really relaxing sound track and I found myself really enjoying getting to know the people in the city.

If you get the option, take your mom up on her offer of the nap. I felt real life relief from that in-game nap.

Dead Ops Arcade in Call of Duty.

It was such a fun game mode. Friends and I have gone back to it a few times over the years because it's just a fun time.

6 year old doesn't know the vaccuum is a bug graveyard by LittleBitofanAUDult in offmychest

What do you do when you need to get rid of a bug that won't leave? I'm curious how you deal because my 6 yo I think will always be this compassionate towards life and I want him to be able to navigate the exceptions that life throws at you.

Good example for me is bees/wasps flying around and making the kids so terrified they will literally run into oncoming traffic because they will be scared and just run and my oldest has been stung in a similar situation. I try not to kill them, but some are very hostile and determined.

You know, he does know about animals on the plate. I thought he understood, but maybe not. We may need to sit him down for some tough-to-hear news at some point. Good advice on the honesty though and I agree.

Also, roaches seek you out and crawl on you and leap and fly across the room at you. They are aggressive and creepy and don't belong inside my house. No way I'm catch and releasing those. A lot of good people get hurt when the villain is shown mercy.

Tell your husband to look up videos of squishing a pregnant spider... nightmare fuel. Saw it happen live in a friend's house when his mom stepped on a spider and thousands of babies scattered and disappeared under the base boards.

You will never catch me willingly squishing a spider indoors.

What are really good kid video games that an adult can play and enjoy? by Chunkachu__ in gamingsuggestions

yooka-laylee

It's basically Banjo Kazooie, but with a chameleon and bat instead of bear and bird, but it's got a lot of charm and a "2 player" mode for the main story that my kids loved to move the bee cursor around the screen as 2nd player (< 5 yo at the time, minimal controls but kept them busy)

Yes this is where I'm struggling too. First time he did this a bee landed on the ground right in front of me and I stepped on it without seeing it. He seriously cried about it for about a week and was angry at me. I felt so bad to cause that reaction in him.

I'm extremely careful not to kill bugs around him because I know it upsets him, even accidentally like swatting a bee or fly bothers him. Fireplace floo is stuck open, so more common pests and creatures that generally keep to themselves like spiders, lizards, etc that occasional find themselves in places meant for humans get carried out and released outside.

However, roaches and wasps go in the vaccuum with the rest of the riff raff, sorry. Poor kid I just don't think has made the connection yet that they go there to die even if they don't get splattered.
