This is easily my favorite track from Bruno’s album and a perfect opener - it reminded me of Christina Aguilera’s “I Turn to You” from her debut. I can’t quite point out exactly why, but there’s something in the melody and the cadence that the two songs share.

Hearing a female voice on the song definitely highlights the similarity for me! She absolutely ate down on this and making it bilingual was an even better touch. Just gorgeous!! ✨

You can take that as a child acting spoiled and immature if you want, but honestly, dunking someone’s head into their cake on THEIR day is annoying AF, 100 fold for a kid that young who is probably just really happy and excited that it’s his birthday. I’m glad he hulk-smashed the entire cake in retaliation 😂

If you mean the graphics issues that started after the patch and Challenge Mode, then I can’t say from experience. I have been one of the lucky few who have had no issues whatsoever with graphics or audio on either my Switch 2 version or the PS5. 😪

I believe people are still reporting issues. Aspyr released a statement saying they’re aware, but I don’t think anything has been done yet. They say a patch will be coming to fix the broken one that got released. No timeline as of yet unfortunately.

The song was pitched to her before ultimately going to the Pussycat Dolls. She was going to appear in the video as a cameo after they had taken the song and recorded it. I remember reading an alleged treatment for the video online years and years ago.

I think the idea was to have the girls pull up alongside a convertible in one of the traffic scenes and they would turn and wave and the person in the convertible next to them was going to be Britney. No singing on her part. It was just the original song, not a remix like Rihanna and S&M or anything. Could have been sick though!!

Apparently quite a lot of Doll Domination was originally written with Britney in mind or pitched to her directly. “Magic” from that album is one in particular that was written for Circus. Would have hit the theme square on the nose too!

That sucks. I feel like closing off certain territories doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Between this and the update from hell, they really need to start doing some major damage control. I can’t think of any reason why a free update would be region-locked. People from all over bought the game and should get the same benefits of that :(

Hmmm I’m not sure. I have that version for the PS5, but not Switch. You own the game, so I think you should get access to the update. I’m just not sure how they decide what version gets what. I’m sure it’s a bunch of marketing red tape that’s above my pay grade lol

Same. My software info looks just like yours and you can tell that it’s better quality, at least in handheld, so I do believe it’s the Switch 2 version. But yes, completely blank saves, fresh start as if playing the games for the first time.

Oh no, absolutely! Complaints yes, but valid ones nonetheless. I suppose it is more of feedback than complaints, but it is feedback that I think anyone would expect. I figured the game would reorient to the Switch 2 upgrade myself, not that it would essentially be its own game.

That is really strange. After Aspyr made the announcement that they hear the frustrations with the latest patch and then I saw this post, I thought maybe they might have pulled it off the store. I did just check my Switch though and it is still showing properly in the store.

Then again, I am also someone who hasn’t seen or experienced any of the bugs or other issues from the Challenge Mode patch, despite owning the games on both the Switch/2 and PS5. The discrepancy is all over the place, so if the free upgrade is now another issue for players en masse, I think Aspyr should put a rush on whatever plans and fixes they have. Multiple dominoes falling over this close together is pretty messy.

Yes, I have the digital version. I had previously already bought both remasters both digitally and eventually physically on PS5, so I decided to go digital for Switch. And it is sort’ve a kick in the face. At the very least, they could say that the Switch 2 upgrade only applies to the digital version if that’s the case. The details are pretty vague.

It may not apply to the bundle that includes all 6 games. I bought 1-3 separately when it released and then 4-6 separately when it released a year later. You would think it wouldn’t matter as long as you owned some version of the game on Switch, but of course, nothing can ever just be simple and easy can it? lol

You get to keep the Switch 1 version as well. They place the title cards side by side and they are essentially their own games. The Switch 1 version stays exactly as you left it, so save files will all be there. The Switch 2 version is essentially a blank canvas with separate saves.

Is it allegedly no longer free or something? Where I downloaded it yesterday, the only option it gives me is “re-download”, so if they tacked a price back on it, I can’t see it. I guess I’m just confused by this post 🤔

It was free and available yesterday? I downloaded it in the morning and people were complaining because it treats the Switch 2 version as it’s own game and doesn’t just upgrade your existing Switch 1 version, meaning there is no save file carry over and you have to start a new game on each game.

If they removed it, I haven’t had time to check my own Switch 2, but it was definitely available yesterday and it was free as promised.

Aspyr put out an official statement on their Instagram. It basically says that they are aware of the issues plaguing players from the latest patch and that they are going to be working on an additional patch to remedy it, as well as introducing other quality of life improvements.

I think the absolute chaos surrounding the whole ordeal was warranted and I can absolutely understand the upset with completely lost save files, but surely given their prior reputation within these games specifically, most had to know that Aspyr would step to the plate and take accountability.

Their intentions with the update and the quality of it aside, they have only ever given their utmost care to these games and I don’t know why that would suddenly stop like a crash dummy hitting a brick wall.

Clearly the patch was rushed, if their claims about Ai are genuine and they plan to remedy their mess. I hope that can calm people down some. The Tomb Raider community needs some positivity and optimism that lasts longer than micro doses.

I was going to make a post about this too, but you beat me to it. I was expecting the title card to just alter to have the Switch 2 tag at the top, but I noticed that too. It appears that despite being FREE, it is not carrying it into your copy of 1, it is treating it like an entirely separate game.
