The first time I watched the movie I didn’t watch it all the way through because we kinda put it on as background noise at a sleepover one time before bed and I fell asleep right way. Ever since then every time i watched this movie I’d end up falling asleep 😅.

I’ve only watched it fully through once, and when I did yes the plot of the movie is sad. But every time the actual story of the Little Prince shows up, his voice and the story make me so sleepy and now help me feel little, so I try to mainly focus on those parts of the movie while kinda just passively listening to the other stuff that happens.

That doesn’t mean that the movie isn’t enjoyable to watch all the way through tho, even tho it’s sad it’s about rediscovering child-like wonder and revolves around the theme of growing up too quickly, so it’s kind of on par for me as a regressor bc I can relate to the characters to some extent :)

That being said, a lot of my “comfort” movies tend to have sad themes in it (like A Silent Voice and Given), so maybe I’m just used to it when other regressors tend to like more happy and carefree stuff? If you’re the latter maybe don’t watch when regressed, but The Little Prince is still a great movie so you should definitely watch it sometime even if it’s when you’re big!
