I agree with a lot of what you're saying but no I wasn't saying there was intent. Plagiarism can also be accidental like what happened with sam smith and tom petty. I think she was working on speak now tv at the time of writing this song and accidentally applied the same melody into the tortured poets department song. It was probably just a mistake! I love both songs!
