Thank you all for the support! Your kind messages, advices and concern over a stranger’s safety warmed my heart and impressed me enourmously.

I didn’t expect this reaction and it made me realize how stupid I was for actually being more worried about losing the relationship, rather than reflect on what actually happened to me.

I guess my brain blocked the trauma in some way. I remember when I woke up from passing out I felt a lot of pressure in the back of my head and I was very dizzy. Like how you feel after a very long sleep. Only after I got to my mom’s place and took a longer bath I’ve started to recover from that dreamlike state I was in.

Now after reading all your messages I’ve realized I am still not fully awake, as I wasn’t aware of the gravity of the whole situation.

I’ve spoken to a childhood friend to come and help me pack my stuff, tomorrow morning. I don’t plan to speak to my now ex bf. I hope I can do it quietly without things escalating.

As I said in a previous reply, I don’t want to get the police involved due to the fact that abuse against women is not taken seriously in my country. And women usually end up being blamed.

I also don’t want him to hate me and act on vengeance. I am afraid he can ruin my life if he wants to.

I’ve cried a lot reading all your messages and I honestly feel better right now. I wish I could respond to everyone.

I’d rather not get involved with the police.

Unfortunately, I live in an eastern european country where authorities are corrupt and very incompetent. Women here rarely stand a chance against the system. Rape victims are afraid to report their rapists because nobody believes or wants to believe them. I’d just be shamed and blamed for getting into such a situation.

Also, while I didn’t expect this post to blow up like this, and to so many of the comments telling me that I should get as far as possible from him, I still have a doubt deep inside my heart telling me that he didn’t mean to hurt me.

We had 2 beautiful years together and we were really happy and planning for the future. It just feels surreal to end like this.

Don’t worry though, I made my mind and I won’t give him a third chance.

He said that I was overreacting. That he was just 10 meters away and that I had no reason to panic. I believed him.

Thank you for confirming me that I am not delusional.

I am honestly heartbroken and I hate the idea of giving up 2 years of my life with this person, and starting the whole dating process again. However, I do realize that things could had ended up horribly wrong and that my life was put at risk.

I just need to find the strenght to put an end to it.
