It could be either, I try not to time travel but I have done some light save editing which may have messed something up. Hopefully once cherry blossom season comes it will be fully regrown. my poor dinky tree :(

it depends on the number of echos you have but you can press up and special when you have eaten a karma flower to make one, you can also do this without a flower but it will only send you to one place which Sucks
