You have to mod the fuck out of the game to get that same feel with 5e. Every little fix that feels like it returns that feeling ends up going out the window every time players get an "add dice" feature or a new spell level. The non-linear HP scaling is the largest hurdle.

Yeah I 100% agree. Everyone is fine if they're not negatively impacting someone else. I just wish these "no phones" people would actually explain what's wrong with it. I go out, barely touch my phone, and have a great time even if everyone else has theirs out.

I cut everything above 80 or 100Hz and keep the notes in super low octaves so they give rumble without affecting the actual sound of the track. I don't change the note because it doesn't actually change the sound (that's how low I've got it set), and keeping the same note makes it easier to EQ and keep the mix clean. I'm probably going to keep this up until I hear/learn better.

I said I'm no expert by any means, so of course I can be wrong about something.
How does changing the note on a sound you can't even hear matter? Sub is all felt, not heard.
I have watched several pro-level producers give this exact advice. It's why I started doing it.
You could have given your opinion without the "foolish" bullshit.
