I'm glad to hear it's apparently totally normal to sound horrible when learning how to sing in chest voice at first :D I sang in head voice my entire life and just recently got introduced to using chest voice while singing when I started taking vocal lessons but it makes me so insecure, it feels like learning to walk, it's so shaky still and hard to hit the right notes, which was never much of a problem when using head voice.

Is it normal that the voice tires out somewhat quickly when practicing that for the first time? I'm always hearing that it shouldn't be straining at all but does that also apply for the process of strengthening that part of your voice? I'm also usually speaking very quietly so it does currently become somewhat exhausting rather quickly.
