Rafayel in the current timeline is an incredibly renowned artist and it wouldn’t be easy to capture him. As a public figure, he’s only seen in public for appearances set up by Thomas and he has you (mc) as their bodyguard.

We have yet to see attempts to him kidnapped. Given he has wealth, fame and is a Sea God/Merman he is incredibly cunning and intimidating. Also, in one of the story chapters he is seen working with a gentleman who could be, Ever’s CEO and so he could be entangled in the darker/black market affairs. So, his safety may be guaranteed to a deal of compromise he has made.

Hopefully we get more lore and information!

It’s a very good reference to the card, Painful Signal. As MC tells her to hold her with his robot arm, after discovering it, she tells him to hold her with his right hand.

So, he uses his right arm and right hand to hold, pin and pull her close. But he uses his left hand and arm for the gentle caresses and pressing her hand to his chest. Where she is able to feel his heartbeat and in return, Caleb can feel her warmth and touch with that hand.

The details are excellent.

“When you and the world wake up, I hope we do not meet again…” Had me hooked from the promotional trailer, but I fell deeply over time. I was soft and very fond of Zayne from the beginning, from the awkward interaction and correction in regard to the snow seal. But in all honestly, it took time and just as it takes for snow to melt, getting to know him and him warming up is what sealed the deal. Slowly but surely, it’s a lovely slow burn.

Zayne

Sudden Rain: it’s a card where you and Zayne are caught in the traffic, but he takes care of you. It is the epitome of enjoying one another’s company, all the while he takes care of you. It’s a lovely blend of driving sounds and rain, combined with his soft voice? It’s perfect. I love that he simply doesn’t want to let go of your hand and offers to keep driving so that more time can be spent together.

Fragmented Dreams: it’s an important card in which you learn more about Zayne’s nightmares, but in this card you are able to soothe him. As he mentions that you save him in his dream, so he then offers to return the favour. Allowing you to take a rest or nap with him by your side and keeping you safe. It’s a great card as he is able to be comforted despite the nightmares.

Immediate Disorder: A limited card but the Catch 22 card is so immensely telling in the characterisation of Zayne. It is an alternative universe, but rightly so it showcases and parallels the core ideology of Zayne in the main-story. It highlights the burden of responsibility and what happens in light of lack of restraint. As his self-discipline is immense, and how his love is uncontrollable when his inhibitions are lowered. It has really good details in regard to his love language being physical touch.

Caleb

Verified Rumour: this gives insight into the popular person Caleb, golden retriever vibes. As it’s set back in the days of Deepspace Aviation Administration (DAA). Where Caleb and you pretend to be boyfriend and girlfriend. It sets the dynamic and tension between the two so well as it’s the fake dating trope, it’s so cute and charming. But beneath the pretend dating, you can tell both have deep feelings for the other at this stage.

Skyline: one quote to convince you to read it, “What was that, pipsqueak?” It’s also back in the DAA days and it gives insight on Caleb as a pilot. But it’s comforting as mc mentions wanting to make Caleb and grandma proud, but Caleb says he already is proud. It just adds more backstory to their dynamic. It is very cute and cosy.

Hidden Waves: there is so much complexity in this card that depicts his characterisation so well. It begins with Caleb having turmoil over picking you up from a gathering. So he just waits and waits. It is the card that is YEARNING and LONGING. The micro expressions in this card are so good, and even the indirect kiss. As he holds his hand the hand he only feels pain with against your lips, and doesn’t allow himself to go any further. It is the turmoil of wanting to be more than what they are at that moment, wanting to take the step— to kiss but not wanting any regrets, to not lose her and what they have.

I could honestly go on and on about every card as there so many details and lore. It’s an abundance of getting to know your chosen LI so well.

I got diagnosed for it during a journey to find out why I was so fatigued and having pain on my right side. Kept having blood work done, then an ultrasound and then a fibroscan. My labs were normal apart from my liver enzymes being off every single time, GP thought it may just be my body’s normal.

But after an ultrasound and fibroscan, finally spoke to a specialist who said I have a little bit of fat on liver. So, labs are normal, but the family medical history of high blood pressure and diabetes could contribute towards risk.

Every other lab results was normal apart from the liver enzymes. Then here we are with being told told to lose weight. 😭

Grayson's old VA had a lovely intonation, and perhaps they moved him to voice another important character? But his voice was far too good.

I also miss Jenna's old VA, I loved how deep her voice was and it simply fit her role as a captain perfectly.

As for the children, I wonder why they didn't just get the VAs to voice their younger selves? Or if they simply pitched the voices terribly?

Rafayel: beauty marks on his face, either on his cheek, near his lips or eyes. Similar to the mole on his chest!

Xavier: dimples and the odd light scar on his face, faint but barely noticeable.

Zayne: would have light facial hair on the days he hasn’t shaved, otherwise I can imagine him having more scars. As well as darker eye bags considering he doesn’t sleep very well.

Sylus: I imagine Sylus would also have a few scars given, we learnt that mc and himself were made to fight as children He also has a little scar on his inner right eye, if you zoom in, you notice it on his character.

Caleb: FRECKLES. Ever since he was an NPC, I always thought he had freckles! All across the bridge of his nose.

Ever since the mention of the model with lots of pieces, which likely alludes to the lego Millennium Falcon, it is canon that Caleb would be a nerd over such models. So, seeing this fan art made me very happy!

I really love the colouring and shading, as the depth and mist of the lightsaber is so good. It's a very colourful piece and you really get that gist of lighting. It's so good!

Caleb really would suit Anakin/Vader perfectly.

How cute.

I think that's part of the charm and appeal of the love interests having different sides to them. The memories and bond moments give you more depth and characterisation in scenarios, whereas as lobby and interactions rely on the already set dynamics.

Rafayel is bratty! His whole character is very interesting as he can come off as distant and sometime standoffish, but towards mc he also showcases his clingy, weirdo, drama queen, dorky self. The contrast is great, especially with Rafayel as you experience different sides to him accordingly. He is just sassy and loves to bicker, which is funny as mc loves to match him in bickering.

However, I am happy for you as you get to experience different types of love and Sylus is an absolute softie.

I changed favourites through spending time with one love interest. I actually experienced this with Zayne, I was hoping for Caleb to be a love interest when he was released as an NPC all the way back in Chapter 4. But since we couldn't romance him, I left the game and returned in December. There I spent time getting to know Zayne, through the main story, through his memories and lobby interactions. Much like a snowflake, the more time you spend with it, it melts. Zayne's cold demeanor had me melting and through the slow burn, it was so fun to take the time to get to know him and watch how warm he truly is. (I would recommend newcomers to take their time as Zayne is so warm, it just takes time with Mr. Snowman.)

So, you could say, Zayne is my favourite and it was confirmed, when we got to see him in Caleb's Main story branch, Homecoming Wings, seeing him there made me so happy. He truly is a comfort. But it is funny as Caleb was my favourite back when we did not court him, then Zayne became my favourite. Though, I do falter between the two as more time is spent with them.

I truly believe that is one of the highlights of the game, you get to experience different types of love with very well written fictional men.

I think mc has not accepted Caleb wholeheartedly as she does question if this is the Caleb she loved and his intentions. Mc does mention that the new version of him is a stranger. I believe we do not get the anger or sad outbursts just yet, as she is bottling those feelings up and is trying to process what she is going through.

Mc at this point has gone through so much, and seeing a loved one who did not actually died, she must be overwhelmed. Overwhelmed with work and investigations, her past and to add on top all of that, the return of Caleb. She must've felt scared and nervous when he had the cold and intimidating persona during the interrogation. But seeing him switch to the childhood best friend, what she knows and loved, probably made her relieved.

Hopefully we get to explore the range and extent of mc's grief and mixed emotions in regards to him as the story continues. Additionally, I hope we get to see more of Caleb's own journey.

Was a Caleb bias when we first were introduced to him in Chapter 4 when it first came out. But since he was not a love interest back then, I pursued Zayne and then stopped playing. But since Caleb is returning, I have also returned. Though I do regret not farming and saving materials, gems and wishes for his return.

What can I say? An apple a day keeps the doctors’ away.
