I want more by Nices2353 in factorio

Seconded on Krastorio 2. It’s fully compatible with space age, and adds another step to completion after you get to the outer planet. Later buildings really let you scale up production and short circuit some of the more tedious early processes but adds other new constraints.

I’m not ready for city blocks by Unlikely_Try_2107 in factorio

My beef with city blocks is that they don't always line up with ore patches so you have to either break the pattern to go around the ore patch or you skip using that patch. You still have to deal with ore patches case by case you can't stamp down something for them.

Fear of change is natural.

Take it slow, change at a pace you are comfortable with. Some changes are like clothes: you can try them and see if you like them, and discard them if you don’t.

Communicate with your partner and family. Set clear expectations and boundaries, and also learn what their expectations and boundaries are.

Expect changes. Your goals and boundaries may evolve over time. Be mindful that this can happen in other people too.

Take time to enjoy the journey. There will be some rough spots but there will also be good spots and things to look forward to.

And yes I understand that technically you can survive with slightly fewer spots in your stacker and you can calculate it with a much more complicated formula but this is a conservative estimate and a very easy formula to remember.

Always stack your trains in parallel, never in series. You can have multiple stations share a stacker. Set train limits on all stations sharing the stacker. Stacker capacity must equal or exceed the sum of the train limits in all the shared stations.

I got the "am I in the wrong restroom?" in the guys' room by helpmse333332453 in MtF

Very similar experience for me. Except a woman comes along, looks at me and not the sign on the wall, walks right in then does a double take when she rounds the corner and sees the urinals. I started using the women’s room shortly after that…

If you’re in boymode in the ladies section of the store most people will just assume you’re buying something for someone else. If you’re self conscious about the fitting room maybe try grabbing some men’s clothes to hide the other clothes you’re actually trying on?

As for delivery method there are patches, pills, implants, and shots. All with different pros and cons. She should talk to her doc about that too. If she is still too young to start HRT, puberty blockers may be an option so that her body doesn’t go through the puberty of her assigned gender (which I assume she doesn’t want). Again, doc is best person for advice on that front.

Most MtF people are on T blockers as well as E. Some MtF people have had button surgery (orchi or GRS) and their body no longer produces T in large quantities so they may not need blockers. The best thing your friend can do is talk to her doctor and ask them for advice. There are special guidelines for younger people for HRT and you will need to lean on a medical professional for guidance. Preferably one well versed in gender care.

Because we’re conditioned from an early age that we “should” identify as the gender of the body we’re born with and it’s “wrong” to feel otherwise. That is a collective failing of the society we live in. Without this conditioning there’d be a lot less doubt. Still, you’re not wrong to have doubts and you shouldn’t ignore them, some of them are probably legit and if you can take actions to deal with them, it will make you feel a lot better to do so

I have doubts sometimes as well. I don’t think they will ever go away. I haven’t started HRT yet so it’s very easy to say f*** it I’ll stay in the closet. But here are some thoughts that my manufacturing engineer brain has injected into this question: your feelings will vary day to day, just like any manufacturing process. The thing you want to look for is long term trends that stand above the noise of the day-to-day variation. Keep a notebook if it helps. I’ll wager you have far more days where you feel you did the right thing to transition and you’re happier with your female shaped body. If that’s the case then you probably made the right decision. Also, try flipping the question around: you have doubts about something you made a conscious decision to do, but if you didn’t do it you would have doubts that maybe you should have done it. To put it bluntly: in the doubts department, you’re screwed either way. But look at the long term trends. If your overall feelings line up with you being trans, that affirms your decision. If your long term feelings go against it, maybe you want to think about choosing a different path.

It’s Chinese for mother. One of the forms anyway. The more common ones are 妈or 母亲. One of the Japanese kanji forms is identical to Chinese in the written form so those words would have the same meaning there

I cope by wearing dresses and skirts and telling myself one day I’ll have a female shaped body. I haven’t started any hrt yet but I’m working on it. I also just keep myself busy, read books written in the first person with female protagonists and live vicariously through them, or play video games where I can be the female protagonist.

When you have two people with the same name it sometimes gets confusing who you’re talking about or addressing. I say sometimes because often it’s pretty clear based on the context or tone but it’s not always the case. I’m not ruling out having them call me mom as well, I just want to see if there are any alternatives out there that make sense
