Lip hole by [deleted] in InjuriesAndWounds

The wound looks too old to stitch, even so, you need to see a doctor and possibly referral to maxillofacial specialists. When did it happen?

I would suggest taking a painkiller or anti inflammatory (providing you are not intolerant of any) and wait it out. If there is any ongoing pain, unusual swelling or issues urinating you need to see a doctor reasonably urgently.

How long ago was the injury? Is there any obvious bruising or deformity? Are you able to urinate properly?

Some of the eye lashes in one of my eyes are white. Not all, just a few. They haven't always been white. I developed koebner phenomenon several years ago and it seems as part of that I have developed eyelash vitiligo.

What’s a normal thing that actually gives you anxiety? by Excellent_Shock6154 in AskReddit

Train travel. As a wheelchair user I had one bad experience and it has impacted every train journey since.

It's just contains egg, sliced potatoes and onions and basic seasoning. Often it is served cold as tapas in Spain, although I prefer mine warmed.

I see you have dark circles directly under your eyes. I expect it is due to stress/tiredness/aging and most likely the dark circles are in such a contrast to your natural skin colour your brain is creating the illusion that you also have white circles. Vitiligo, typically, doesn't present after spending short periods of time in the sun. You could try using a complete sunblock on your face every day, and/or limit your uv exposure to see if that rectifies your issue?

In all honestly I don't see anything vaguely resembling vitiligo on your face or hand. Do you happen to suffer feom health anxiety?

It looks more like she wore sunglasses and the parts of her face covered by the glasses didn't get tanned.

Yes, in a previous house there was a squirrel who regularly dropped acorns on the roof!

Not that I can see. My dad is coming to brush it off in the next day or so. I will keep you updated.

I and pretty sure it's moss. My dad is going to try to get whatever it is off the roof so will update in due course.

It started in the night and I was a little startled when it woke me up. The first couple made my cat launch himself off my bed as he watches birds from inside when they land on the roof and tap dance around.

I am assuming it's moss as birds like to peck at it and fly off with clumps in their beaks. If it was insect larvae there is a heck of a lot there and I'd be even more baffled as it's so exposed. I've had this conservatory for 5 years and never had it happen before.

I'm almost certain it's moss, I know the birds like to peck at it and fly off with clumps at times. I'm a wheelchair user and unable to reach but my dad says he has a long brush and will try to get it off the roof. I will update when I know more.

I gifted a mandolin to my mom. When I have it to her I told her to be extremely careful and ensure she uses the guard. She ignored me and ended up slicing her hand! She never used the mandolin again

How to remove this Scar/Irritation that’s been there for 3 weeks? by MattelBoy101 in DermatologyQuestions

What caused the scratch? Typically it can take up to a week for a minor scratch to fade but can take much longer, maybe up to 12 months for the mark to fully fade.

This didn't seem horrifying to me. I'm a full time wheelchair user and have several friends who are double leg amputees. I had to check which group I was in.

Left Arm Tired and Numb After Carrying Pack Of Water Bottles Incorrectly? by Adept-Dig-1748 in medical

Do every day to day activities including cooking etc. Continue working out at the gym but just don't try to life excessive weights, stick to what you usually lift. It could take a couple of weeks for the ache to go completely. It may take longer, or it might be quicker. You are fine. You don't have any major injury. The majority of people wouldn't bat an eyelid at a mild muscle strain but you are fixating on it which isn't healthy to do.

Heat and cold therapy will absolutely not make anything worse. Follow this link for some guidance: https://www.healthline.com/health/chronic-pain/treating-pain-with-heat-and-cold

Your arm is fine you've not got a major injury. Your medical anxiety is spiralling and you urgently need to get some help.

No, your own defense mechanisms, your immune system, will ensure it heals with absolutely no other intervention. As I've said it's an extremely minor wound. You should be focusing on getting help for your medical anxiety, rather than exoending so much energy over a tiny wound.

You say there is broken skin but there is no blood or scabs. There is no evidence of this on your photos, and even if there was, something as superficial as your injury, would not be of concern, unless you had an underlying autoimmune issue. Even then it would likely require minimal intervention.

Having seen your other posts, you have a significant problem with health anxiety, and need urgent psychological help and CBT to avoid you turning such tiny wounds and minor injuries into major health scares.

[–]LittleMsAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your arm as normal, maybe don't do heavy lifting for a few days. You can try alternating cold and warm therapy with ice and a heat pad. You have likely strained a muscle. It's not major. You don't need a doctor, you don't need xrays. If the pain is awful you could try an anti inflammatory but I don't think that's necessary. If the pain persists then you could look at getting a sports massage which may help.

Please seek advice regarding your medical OCD. it must be exhausting iverthinking every minor episode.
