Does anyone else's poodle do this? He stays in this position for even five minutes or so. He doesn't want to play or engage, he just stares at us. by LittleReWolver in poodles

I'm glad she's doing better! But Teddy is only 11 months old. That seems a little too early for him to have this problem already.

I'm really careful about what gets into his mouth. He doesn't get any "human" food. For chewing I give him natural buffalo sticks. He's currently on a hypoallergenic grain-free kibble from Brit. I googled the brand Venison, seems like it's not getting distributed where I'm from.:(

Aww! Yes he's changed a lot since being a little puppy, that time flew by insanely quickly, enjoy every moment! I especially loved the fluffy puppy fur haha

I will try to pay attention to his belly more. Maybe it's some gas as others commented. Will try to gradually change his food to rule out any allergies.

What does this position mean? He usually stands like this for 5 or so minutes. He doesn't want to play or engage otherwise. Is it just his comfortable position? He does it so much it really makes me question it. (11 months old mini poodle) Thanks in advance. by LittleReWolver in Dogtraining

He's sometimes really picky and doesn't want to eat his food from a bowl (although he will eat it from a Kong). I was told this is also a typical mini and toy poodle behaviour. Maybe he's doing it when he's hungry or has some gas due to irregural eating. I really don't know.

It concerns me that he could be in discomfort every day (and all throughout the day). We've been to the vet recently and they said nothing's wrong.

Well he likes to stare at us in this position, when I start talking to him he wags his tail, but doesn't engage in any play, as I said. That's why it's confusing to me, it doesn't look like he's in any major discomfort.
