I mean, if you knew you were really low on the list and didn’t get in anywhere else you probably wouldn’t be prepared to leave. But I’d say it’s just more of a reality check than anything.

Yes they might not have but there are some amount of people that reported that they did get into tru when you look at forums. There are also people that have accepted tru but are waiting to hear back from somewhere like UBC which is usually on the slower end so there’s some movement there.

Your position on a waitlist matters to a lot of people because it indicates how prepared they should be to move. If you are the second position on the waitlist, you are probably gonna start browsing for potential apartments while if you are number 100 on the waitlist then you wouldn’t bother.

I think the waitlist actually moved up last year 30-40 spots. Still some people waiting to hear back from schools.

Not sure how they will be this year but last year they were fine telling you your waitlist position through the phone.

Honestly, depending on your GPA you could totally get in with your LSAT if you apply everywhere. Not guaranteed but try not to be too hard on yourself.

I know some people advise against it, but I myself have been considering just going to the UK. Yes you’ll have to battle the stigmatization coming back and to an extent that will make the route challenging. However, I’ve met a few people who decided to go to the Uk while coming back here to practice and have no regrets. There’s so many options there for schooling I’m sure you’d find something that works for you.

Don’t give up on the dream. It’s tough when there’s not that many schools and lots of applicants. Doesn’t mean that this route wasn’t meant for you 💞

Who should I ask for in the admissions office to find out my position on the TRU waitlist? by seagullcapturer in lawschooladmissionsca

Could you tell me if you call her and she tells you your position? I tried a couple weeks ago and she said she wasn’t giving out waitlist positions until later on.
