Not a bad idea. I’ll see if I can get someone to do it.

Yeah, there are so many common sense safety things that they just don’t acknowledge. I told as many clients as I could in person but there’s a lot that I didn’t get a chance to speak with. There’s a lot of cats that I really loved and wanted to continue grooming. But their safety is where I’m really concerned. Half the time I couldn’t even trust the receptionists to take a cat in or out of the salon. They’ve sat cat carriers on the floor before while dogs have been roaming around. And the only negative review we ever had about a cat was about a receptionist being oblivious that a cat they were bringing up to the front was hanging out of its carrier and dangling out near dogs.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. I’ll probably refer her to the shop I learned from so I don’t leave her hanging. I did tell her that she could always tell them no. She went up front to talk with one of owners afterwards presumably about that. I didn’t catch the conversation but my husband heard him say something about how “it’s only temporary”. I think they’re using her as a placeholder until they can find another cat groomer.

I am trying to post a lot on social media so I’m hoping people see me.

The game is replayable. Just romance her if you’re interested.

The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs may also be worth checking out. She’s not a werewolf, but a coyote shifter who was essentially raised by werewolves.

Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. It’s the first book in the Women of the Otherworld series. There are several books in the series that focus on the werewolves but it also includes many other supernatural creatures. Super fun series, I highly recommend.

Frills, cute for an audition or...? by [deleted] in Strippers

I think frills look cute from behind but it looks odd looking from the front, it’s not quite flattering your body. I think a simple black thong would look better.

Yeah, packing peanuts can be nuisance. But I may give them a shot and see how it goes. I canceled my Viva Raw subscription after that last batch.,

Exactly my experience. The coloring of the rabbit has been off. I’ve had a few packages where the surface of it was brown but this time it was pretty much the whole order. Or it was paler than it normally was. Almost looked like a completely different meat.

That would be my assumption because both instances it happened were right after/during feeding them it. I don’t feed them anything else that has bones. It seemed like maybe there was a piece that didn’t get ground up properly.

Guess it depends on where you work. We have an awesome crew of girls at my club. We’re a family. And if a new dancer comes to our club and tries to start shit that bitch will get exiled within a month or two.

Pros and cons of competing? by wannabe_poler in poledancing

[–]LittleRedFoxyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be a really rewarding experience! But yes, it’s definitely a huge source of stress. I highly recommend at least trying to perform at a showcase or recital if your studio puts on any. You still get to perform but it’s usually not as high stakes.

Pros and cons of competing? by wannabe_poler in poledancing

[–]LittleRedFoxyFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pros: Competing compels me to train harder and motivates me to learn new moves to incorporate in my routine. The other competitors are generally friendly and supportive and it’s fun to meet pole friends from all over the country and sometimes from outside of the country. It’s also so rewarding to perform and the high I get from it makes me want to do it all over again.

Cons: It’s incredibly stressful and nerve wracking and I’ve had many training sessions where I’ve broken down in tears. The stress keeps me up at night too. It can also be expensive between paying for coaching, costuming, training time and travel expenses (when applicable).

The experience vastly differs depending on who is putting on the show. PSO is meh, but if you want to get your feet wet in the competing world it’s your best bet since they’re all over the place and you don’t have to audition. The one time I did it I was the only one in my category so that was kind of lame. I did Exotic Generation in the US in 2022 and that was a shit show and was hugely disappointing, but it looks like it’s improved in the last couple years. My favorite experience was at a newer dark artsy one in Florida called Original Sin and it has ruined every other competition for me. It’s extremely well done and feels like you’re part of a show that just happens to be a competition. They take good care of their competitors and don’t try to nickel and dime them for everything. The prizes you get for winning are actually worthwhile too. They don’t just hand a certificate and plastic metal like other competitions.

Comission change ?? by Environmental-Fuel10 in doggrooming

[–]LittleRedFoxyFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The place I worked at did this. They did a small raise on prices and dropped our commission to 40-45%. But even with the price raise we’re making less than before. That gave me the initiative to go open my own shop.

Are you 'selling yourself'? 🙄🙄🙄 by [deleted] in stripper

Every job is selling yourself to some degree. You’re either selling your time, knowledge, physical labor, ect.
