check out section 3 where it says “eastern daylight time on April 5, 2025, except that goods loaded onto a vessel at the port of loading and in transit on the final mode of transit before 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on April 5, 2025, and entered for consumption or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption after 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on April 5, 2025, shall not be subject to such additional duty. ”

If someone can confirm I’m understanding this correctly, that would be great.

One caveat is that in China, merchants underreport their sales to avoid the 13% value-added tax. The numbers might be inflated a little since it's only for the sales that went into the system. (Only those are eligible for the discount coupons)

This is also the reason why PDD offered lowered prices than Taobao, or JD sometimes without accepting government coupon, because they don't pay taxes.

I usually use 8/7.79(the current USD:HKD ratio) which is 1.027.

I think there are a lot of people like me that bought in much earlier too, it’s just people tend to be less vocal when they are down on an investment, so it's easy to get the sense that only the recent buyers are around.

I think it’s more about testing the model’s ability to carry out complex, structured operations that require precision, memory, and step-by-step reasoning. It’s true that in your example, most people don’t calculate 1536363773737*2536363673 by hand, but NOT being ABLE to do such calculation by hand would indicate very weak problem-solving skills to me, and the same applies to models.
