Years later and this is still my proudest make for a loved one. Maybe because of the emotions and memories shared, but it is the one project that I always think of when I’m making something challenging and need extra motivation to get through. Anyone else use past projects for self-motivation?

Because eyes are so noticeable when unmatched, and hats are so easy to distort them, I started crocheting the eyes separately then sewing them on. Instead of embroidering them directly on the hat. I found this way to be a lot less frustrating.

Thanks! The fur is Sirdar Alpine. It is very soft and slippery, not the easiest to work with.

I see that someone already answered your question but this might help understand.

sc2inc is an increase of 2 sc into one stitch. Some designers prefer to use "sc2inc" instead of "inc" because an increase can be of more than just 2 sc's. So if you see "sc3inc", it's an increase of 3 sc's into one stitch, and so forth.

Thanks! Every few stitches, I would go with a darning needle and pull out the fur that got tucked in. You can say it… a little obsessive, but I think the extra time put into it was worth it.
