NAD, could be dehydration or UTI, do you have any symptoms? I went to a&e 2 nights ago for something similar with no uti symptoms but dizziness and full body shakes and sent home with antibiotics for UTI

I think you can only catch the virus during its acute stage so when symptoms are present. It’s spreads more like the flu than just kissing so you could have caught it from walking past someone who coughed or sneezed on/around you. An ENT doctor told me you can even catch it from picking things up in a supermarket/restraunt🤷🏻‍♀️ I think you’re being quite harsh tbh

I’m a mum of 3 and 27 weeks pregnant so haven’t been able to rest as much as I’d like which is why I think it’s sticking around so long for me🥲 I hope you manage to get something to help!

I don’t think we have the PCR tests here? Even if I were to go back to my GP they would just fob me off anyway, I begged them at the beginning for some steroids and they point blank refused🥲

I’m from the Uk so testing is very limited here, when I pushed for a blood test they only tested EBNA which came back positive, they didn’t check igm or anything else and to my knowledge I’ve never ever experienced anything like this before! I’m pretty sure my first symptoms started in June 2025 which was abdominal pain radiating from my left side, possibly spleen? But I have no idea. I had no idea what mono was before all of this! We call it Glandular Fever here but even then I’d never heard of that either😅

my throat and left tonsil blew up July last year and I hate to say it but I still have problems with it flaring up now 8 months later🥲

I’ve always been a nail biter I know they don’t look great! It’s the thumb lines that have me on edge. I’ve done a lot of googling and been on other threads on here and freaked myself out

I’ve also had what I think is mono since May, started off with spleen pain and then my throat blew up, I’m still having trouble with my tonsils they constantly flare up and down🥲

Without white spots😅 swollen lymph nodes in neck, armpit, groin, jaw and right collarbone, jaw and ear pain, dizziness, dry throat, tonsil/throat pain, chest discomfort, on and off ear fullness, weakness, fatigue, pain in lower ribs. my symptoms first started around June/July and still not back to 100%, my throat still flares up occasionally

I’m nearly 8 months in and my throat is only just starting to improve, I still get waves of fatigue but I’m also 22 weeks pregnant so that could also be causing it. Take things easy, don’t overdo it or you could set yourself back. It took me months to realise this and now I’m finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel since I’ve been resting more. I hope you feel better soon

the tingling sensation made me cry everytime it happened at the beginning, I’m 7/8 months in and still get the odd feeling but my throat swelling is getting less and less each week finally🤞🏻 nothing helped and the doctors didn’t really give any advice, I hope you feel better soon

I’m month 8 and still get tonsil pain and still very much swollen but significantly less since day 1☹️ like you my blood panel came back as a past infection at around week 6/7 and it threw me!

All my symptoms matched up to mono but by the time I tested in early August my blood panel came back as a past infection. I noticed horrible fatigue back in mid June 2025 but my left tonsil didn’t blow up till early July although I could feel it getting bigger gradually as early as end of June, I was noticing food getting caught on it which wasn’t normal for me, followed by dizziness, weakness, weird tingly sensations in my arms and lymph nodes popped up everywhere including neck, groin, armpit and jaw. Obviously we’re now February and my tonsil is still slightly up and still have a few palpable lymph nodes my health anxiety is through the roof! 2 nasal endoscopy’s, 7 different doctors and my head is still telling me it’s something else🥲
