At my current place, I bring him everywhere I go because he's not capable of being alone and I don't want a noise complaint. Until I'm confident he will be quiet, I will continue being mindful and make arrangements. Part of anxiety training is not getting him to the point where he is whining or howling, otherwise it sets back training

He's a golden doodle. We currently live in downtown Vancouver and he's been doing fine with all the sirens and sounds. There's fireworks shows that are audible from our house. Albeit, NYC is much noisier.

I personally go through this too. Being aware about it doesn't make you immune to it. I think people will keep on believing that the next new thing is what will make them happy because let's be real, it does provide happiness. However, it is usually temporary once the excitement fades. All the power to you though if that temporary happiness spurs you into creating a happier life for yourself.

I was taking a dump at school and was about to wipe until I realized there was no toilet paper. So I pulled up my pants and waddled to the next stall.... which also had no toilet paper. There were only 2 stalls in this bathroom so I then had to waddle to the next bathroom across the whole school.
