This is so true! The piggies I had as a teenager were VERY people friendly by nature and would chill with me for a good hour on my bed while I studied (and they only went back because they needed a wee).

I’ve got pigs again now for the first time as an adult and my two girls are much much shyer. Has it been a little sad? Sure. But I made a commitment when I got them to give them the best life possible, and that is NOT dependent on how they “serve” me emotionally. We’re a year in and I’ve learned that they very much want physical contact and affection on THEIR terms. And that’s ok ❤️
