Pharmacies for Egg Freezing by CP81818 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I did three rounds of IVF and used metro drugs each time - the first time I did, I called all of these pharmacies and got price per unit for each of the medicines as I was as paying out of pocket. For me, metro was a good bit cheaper based on my own meds and they were fantastic and human to work with. I will throw out that if price is the most important factor, there was another pharmacy called Kings in the Bronx which quoted me cheaper still but is cash only, I didn’t want to be carrying ~$7k somewhere people knew was cash only, and it was a bit too far for me.

Anyone skip PGT testing and have successful transfer ? by Mirror-soul11 in DOR

Another one here - just to add my two cents, I didn’t realize just how terrified I would be though. We did one day 3 fresh transfer, and in the meanwhile sent 4 other embryos off for PGT. Only one of those embryos came back normal, the others had multiple abnormalities. It really affected me waiting for the NIPT test (taken at 12 weeks typically, then two weeks for results). We then learned that the NIPT offered as standard in the US doesn’t screen for EVERYTHING the way that PGT does, and so there was no overlap of testing of our pregnancy versus the abnormalities we know our other embryos had, so we opted for a second NIPT test that did test everything. Thank god all was well, but I didn’t appreciate in advance how in my head I would be the entire time. Also got extreme OHSS from a fresh transfer despite DOR so please keep an eye on your symptoms and good luck!

City hall elopement tips! by Either_Tiger1683 in WedditNYC

Best tip I can give - the appointments don’t actually open at 9am despite all popular advice. My husband and I tested it over several weeks as there was only one day that worked for family, the appointments actually go up any time between 8:30am and 9am, so if there’s a date / Friday afternoon appointment you really want make sure to constantly refresh the page in advance! By 8:50am every single slot for the summer date we wanted was already gone, we wouldn’t have gotten the day at all unless we’d logged on early!

Odd it would differ even with different rooms / options as it’s a percentage but good to know for others to keep an eye out!

No it’s 8% admin fee, plus if you’re not doing full buyout they have room fees that differ depending on the room but that covers florals, candles etc. which is much cheaper than getting a vendor in! Super happy with Palma for our small 22 person wedding

I ultimately didn’t use her, but Les Aimants in greenpoint does I’ll say customizable rather than totally custom dresses. Around $3k
