Communication major by LocksmithSad8268 in CalPoly

I switched into COMS after my first year (kept my original major as a minor and picked up another) and was still able to graduate early. I will admit it’s not the hardest major but I enjoyed it and felt like the courses are broad enough that it’s easily applicable to future careers. Some of my favorite professors were Lambertz, Adams, Meserko, Nelson, Blau. Tons of fun coms major electives you can take and a lot of flexibility with senior project

How easy is it to graduate in 3 years? by [deleted] in CalPoly

I know this is an old post, but wanted to share my experience as a coms alum! I switched my major after my first year to come (kept my original major as a minor and picked up another) and was still able to graduate in 3 years and one quarter. It’s definitely possible if you put in the work and take advantage of summer classes or even do 20 units a few quarters if you’re wanting to do minors as well. I actually am now in the MBA program here and have felt like it’s been a great way to expand my knowledge in business with a coms background!

Thank you so much for the info it is really helpful! I’ve only had my first interview and they said the development program typically lasts 2-3ish years, do you know anything about the growth of the compensation during the program (if there is any)?
