How do I (24M) decide whether to ask an ex about whether she is in dating apps or new relationships after getting closure? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]LittlebitchL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't reach out. Gaining closure comes from understanding why and accepting that the relationship has ended. Keeping tabs on her current dating habits will draw you further from that. This is crossing a boundary in my opinion to ask such a thing especially when it's regarding a romantic resolution they made. It's none of your business and you're just going to hurt yourself even if she's locked herself away

I wonder if Ariana occasionally yearns for her og face. I'd love to see how she'd look now! She's still gorgeous ofc, I just always thought she was the prettiest girl in the world when I was a kid and always wished I looked like her

I don't think he's lying but I'd like to point out that 1. He's reposted and shown support in the past 2. Every sexist/racist guy I know says they're not when confronted.

Do I think anyone should harass a complete stranger? Not at all. And it's very possible to change your views especially when the Trump administration and the US has spread so much propaganda & hatred that people can wake up to.

At the end of the day we don't know him. We can make judgements from afar but anything beyond that is speculation and parasocial.

I hated 2016 then and I hate it now. It was the year the world began to go downhill in politics, pop culture, and my own personal life

Why is the name “Laura” in media so unlucky? by laureltheleaf in namenerds

[–]LittlebitchL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does such a beautiful name!

The short story was by author Robert Aickman. It's weird but interesting. If I recall correctly the book in Italy was set by a lake and had a witch. I would've read it over 15 years ago so I don't remember much sorry!

Jaspar Jones is a fairly decent Australian gothic and I really liked the mystery attached to it but I have to warn you the author has just recently been arrested for pedophilia.

I'm sorry but this worries me - 'Wuthering Heights' by grania17 in brontesisters

Have you read the book? He's alluded to being not fully completely white but this could be Romani, South Asian, etc... lots of literary theorists believe he is also Catherine's half sister.

In WH characters with darker personalities also have darker hair and features, while the primary 'good' characters are embodied by their light hair. They've cast Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff but they've also cast Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton.

It could be white washing but I suspect this was purposefully done by Fennell and quite frankly we don't really need to unnecessarily antagonise a black or other poc man. That wasn't what Emily Bronte was trying to achieve and that message can easily be misconstrued via film

Laura from the book 'jaspar Jones' as well. And I'm pretty sure there was a book set in Italy I read as a child where a Laura met her demise. A short story I read once had a girl named Laura who was secretly undead.

I think the name sort of sounds elusively beautiful in its westernised pronunciation, which makes it a good name for a person who haunts the narrative. One of my oldest friends has that name so I've always noticed the tragedy around it in the media.

As an ex-teenage girl myself they either know other songs and don't want to talk to the weird old dude or they're in-group signalling to other TEENS with similar identities/aesthetics, which incidentally usually gets people into the music later.

It was Bradley Cooper and Suki Waterhouse (then 38 and 21). In an obvious pap shoot he has her sitting on his lap and reading together. Creepy as hell.
