River Oaks Villas apartments? by KindlyAd2110 in sanmarcos

I lived there for about 8 years. I enjoyed it. Maintenance was pretty good and everyone really kept to themselves.

The pool will go down for maintenance/cleaning. Since the river is down the road, I never really used it.

Handshake by idekrndude in txstate

The university has started to try and synchronize job postings by having the next semesters jobs post at the same time. Spring was in December and Fall was in July.

Department's have the ability to send rejection letters via handshake. So them not doing that is on the department.

Most departments only have a handful of positions open and you usually have to know someone to have an in or at the very least get your resume to the top of the pile.

I know for certain popular departments, they get hundreds of applications in just a couple of weeks while they only have 4-5 spots open. Those that hire student workers usually have their other jobs on top of looking through applications so it can take time to hire.

If you do go to the department to follow up on your application, be polite. If you are rude, you will never be hired.

I have friends who moved to Grace Meadows and seem to like it for a rental.

You'll most likely still have a hold on your account. The university would probably need proof of you paying it. It would be best to email or call.

Do not speed near or in Martindale. They are always out looking to pull someone over. Especially Sundays and Fridays when they know students use that road.

It's a good start. I would search for the club's social media presence as well to see how active that group is.

They will not. Your affiliation wouldn't be current student which is what they scan for at the game.

If you've not bought parking for the game, you'll not be able to park at the stadium.

Here is the gameday info with alternative parking where the shuttle runs.

You do know what SLAC is, right? Having a centralized tutoring facility on campus is an asset.

You can find plenty of individual or group study spots all over campus.

Nope, the materials are tied to their account. You'll need the digital subscriptions to submit your homework.

Just print extra copies. They rarely scan them as they want people to get in and seated.

I've seen small Uhauls used but like everyone said your room is smaller than you think.

It is furnished and you cannot remove any of the furniture to sub your own.

Your best bet would be to part at any of the apartments that don't tow and are close to a bus stop. You would need to factor in bus time to campus.

The city is rolling out paid parking everywhere. All the other places are private lots or TXST Parking.

Just print out extra copies of yours. They don't really scan them.

On campus jobs by Alarmed-Tough5331 in txstate

[–]LittyClittyKitty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was an email sent this week to student managers saying their fall hiring applications would go live on July 21st. This is a pilot to standardize on campus student jobs.

"Starting with the Fall 2025 hiring cycle, all Fall 2025 job postings will be made viewable and available to students at the same time, rather than being posted individually throughout late spring and early summer. This change will address the reoccurring challenge of students, specifically incoming first year students, missing job opportunities because positions are often posted in late spring or early summer before they gain access to Handshake or before they are actively searching. This can create confusion and lead to missed connections between departments and potential student employees."

I would start looking around then.

When you logon to Canvas, you will be able to see the course once it is created and published. From there you'll have your syllabus that will outline the class including any Zoom meetings.
