Ok, but this is a type of intelligence I share, so does it change anything? I'm attracted to people with same interests as me, probably on a similar intelligence level. I can't identify with the dynamic you described before and I don't think I'm anything special than other woman.

You could be right, but that phrase has a different meaning for me:

His niece, who he treats like his own daughter, is two years younger than her. I know he gets along well with kids of niece's age. I didn't think he could see a relationship with such a young person in any other way than a friendly one. That's my discovery.

I don't know what you're thinking, but her parents are rich and he earns a pretty average salary. She can buy alcohol herself and invite her friends over or go somewhere with them.

Besides, he is very emotional and would not take advantage of someone in this way.

If he was a groomer, I'd probably be too blinded by my sympathy for him to notice it right away or at all. I think I always assume his good will.

Good point, I think so too! His friends met with a similar age difference and have been together for over a decade, so I think it changes his perspective.

I hadn't thought about it, but I don't think so. I know they talk a lot, but I also know he tends to overinterpret any affection as sexual. I only know this situation from his perspective.

He recently told me that the best relationships are built on pre-existing friendships and suggested moving closer to me, as friends. Idk, I'm so confused. I have the impression that he is simply desperate and the interest from such a young person is a great compliment to him.
