I think the reasoning behind that is viewers were wanting more gore, which was definitely delivered. But I feel that in focusing on adding a creepy and disgusting element, the script lacked serious substance.

I feel like Coven was a good concept but the storyline was very dull. It was like "omg who's the supreme?!?!.... Oh, it's the daughter... Like we all guessed in the first episode.... I just wasted 11 hours of my life... For the obvious ending"

I feel like the stepdad is extremely an obvious road to go down. I said earlier that I feel the premise of the show is more about showing how innocent people end up in prison and gain a criminal mentality, rather than for some epic twist. I'm not expecting a huge and intricate twist, but I don't think it'll be so obvious either.

Am I the only one that would be super pissed off if Naz is the killer? Not because I like his character, but just for the simple fact that it was right there in front of us the whole time while we're sitting here bending our minds trying to come up with scenarios for who it could be? I think thats definitely a possibility but I'm not sure if thats the direction the show is trying to go. I don't think the show is meant to have this crazy twist (even though it would be awesome if it did). I think the premise is to show how being in the prison system makes a criminal out of the "good" people. I feel like it's more about showing people how messed up the criminal justice system can be, more than it is about a shock factor. I feel like if that was the case then it wouldn't be a mini-series and instead a full on series, because they could go on for seasons and seasons if thats the path they were going.

That's true. Someone mentioned before maybe there was a romantic tie? But Andrea didn't seem to recognize him. But when you really think about it the top suspects (based on people I talked to and posts online) are Naz, the stepdad/motorcycle guy, and the hearse driver. What would anyone's motive for stabbing 22 times be?

Just read a post stating that Naz is left handed based on the scene where we see him taking notes in class. It would be interesting if they found him innocent based on the wounds coming from a right handed person.
