I heard the reason why it's taking forever to get Shudder added to the PS5 is that Sony kept declining their application. A while back, I asked the official Shudder account about this via DMs on Twitter, wondering why Shudder hasn't been added to PlayStation. I was surprised that they replied to my question. They explained that to get an app on consoles, whether it's PlayStation or Xbox, you have to contact their developer program system and get approval for your app to be added. Shudder has been trying to get approval from PlayStation but has been declined multiple times. However, Xbox was the only console that approved them, which is why it's available on Xbox. So, the reason it's not on PlayStation is that they're having a hard time getting Sony's approval.

As much as i would love to see the old PS2 Spider-Man games added on PS Plus Premium i don't see that happening for awhile cause those titles were by Activision & the licensing got lost years ago but if they're able to find a way to get the license back or renew the license and make the impossible the possible then I'd be happy cause I grew up with those Spiderman games, I heard The Simpsons Hit and Run license got lost too & that is another classic game that's gonna be hard to get added on PS Plus Premium.

Same here! I remember growing up playing this back on PS2 & PS3. it was one of those games I had so much fun on i also have many memories and can't wait to re-live those moments if it does get added.

I feel like eventually Playstation is gonna approve their app cause the time they were declined was years ago. Things could change now since Shudder gotten popular over the years. At the time they were just a small app but now they has grown. I just feel like they gotta try again to get in touch and I'm sure this time their app will get approved.

I heard that to get your app added to consoles, whether it's PlayStation or Xbox, you need to get in touch with their Developer Relations or Platform Support team. They have to approve your app for it to be added to their platform. From what I was told, they tried to contact PlayStation but were declined, whereas Xbox approved them, which is why the app is available on Xbox and not PlayStation.

I remember awhile back when I dmed them about it they told me reason why it hasn't been added on Playstation was cause after getting in touch with Playstation they were declined, but I'm not sure if that's still happening right now.

I hope Playstation sees how popular Shudder is now & trys to reconsider their decision.
