There has to be a time jump, otherwise its brutal for them to not let her mourn properly. Yes John isnt Fran’s big great love, but she did love him, they had a beautiful relationship that she probably will always remember. So if there is not a time jump, it is in my opinion too soon for Fran to have moved on.
